Moochie should be happy because he will be getting to the playoffs before the rocks. To bad he cut his hair, that would have played well in NYC.

I can't believe Isiah Thomas made this trade. The knicks needed to be completely ripped apart and rebuilt. Instead of trying to get out from under all the bad contracts he inherited he makes it worse! Why not take a 2 year cap hit with Weatherspoon instead of a 3 year hit with Moochie.

I can't believe the rockets found anyone interested in Moochie. You gotta give CD and JVG credit for that. 2 years of Clarence Weatherspoon is a hell of a lot better than 3 of Moochie.

Good trade for us, man boobs and mooch for a b/u PF. Spoon hasn't had much PT, so he may have more left than the Knicks think. If he can block out and cut down OPP off rebs that'll help tremendously.

I am glad this trade was done just so I never have to see the words "man boobs" on this bbs again.

Any quotes from Moochie or the other Rockets players yet?

I feel kind of bad for Moochie...he is a nice guy.

Then again, I shouldn't really feel bad for a guy that makes the kind of money he makes!

It is good for both rockets and Mooch himself.

Yeah I don’t understand, what do we gain out of this? I guess another “big” man but I just don’t see it?

    It’s just treading water.

What worries me is that NY doesn't have that much talent period (which was evident by the comment posted in NY's BBS that Moochie may become NY's third best player, at least in the eyes of one poster). So if NY doesn't have that much talent, why would someone with talent ride the pine? Is it simply that NY has too many PFs now? I'm not sure it's that simple. It may be that Weatherspoon has nothing left. Taking players on their decline just because they showed potential a few years ago hasn't worked for us in the past (e.g., Rice), and it is hard to believe it will work here. Hopefully, I am wrong.

More depth at the 3 and 4

    but.....

We know have 1 back-up center who happens to be our starting PF

and 1 backup PG who hasn't had much playing time.

Other moves have to be in the works......

"And of course one of the negatives about having Moochie Norris under contract until 2007 is that you have Moochie Norris under contract until 2007"

By the way, I think it is pretty weak that the Rockets' official website still doesn't have the news on there.
