My point is... would you let it go? IF he had said that... would you? Because you can't assume all cops are like that even IF he said it.
My point is... why do you even ask ME that question IN THIS THREAD? That is a totally different topic. Initially, the OP didn't say the cop in question said anything about him being black. Why do you give a **** about how a police officer asks ME anything, or if a police officer says "holmes", really? It has NOTHING to do with this thread, sir. To clearly answer your question: YES, I'd let it go. You DID notice I posted the same thing he said to MoBalls in the "stereotype" thread, didn't you? I'm just asking.
Well, mainly I was messing with you because I like to see you get bent over people using spanish words. lol
I would guess there is more to this story than meets the eye... http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20081028/NATION/810280348/1020 Looks like you fooled 'em. Lay low for a while.
I disagree, it isn't the same. Making generalizations about someone because of their occupation is very different from making generalizations about them because of their appearance. I'm assuming they went after him because he looked like a "thug"/average young black male (same thing?). He feels that way about cops because of personal or secondary knowledge of cops. I'd say occupational choice is a little more telling of someone's personality than appearance. Is it a stereotype to say custodians don't have college degrees or hookers might have STD's? Yes, but occupational stereotypes are different from stereotyping someone based on appearance.
dude, you got str8 up harassed by the po po's... i would consider carrying a voice recorder next time just in case it happens again.. you should file a complaint with the da's office... detroit is a dangerous city as it is... and now you gotta worry about cops harassing citizens
You were onto something good, but then I stopped reading there. Way to make an ass out of u and ming.
