You're kidding me right! Yeah he has a nickname (childish), Starbury....

...I don't care if it's Marbury or AI, NO, NO and NO. AI is not a point guard. Never has been. He needs the ball in his hands more than T-Mac. He's a shooting guard, and we have enough undersized guards (and powerforwards) on this team.

You know, it's amazing. I watch guys post on this board and yell that certain players need to play the way the coaches tell them to, become a better teammate and stay out of trouble. But when they do, you're still trying to throw them out with the bathwater for anyone with a nickname a high contract.

Rafer was/is playing greatball for a coach and a system that fits his qualities, and reduces exposure of his weaknesses. That's what a coach is supposed to do, and a player is supposed to listen. Rafer has done that. In order to find a better point guard, we'd have to give up too much.

Any high priced pg that we would bring in would IMO reduce the touches to Ming, Tracy and Greene. We need a dish first pg. Hopefully Franchise will listen to his coach this offseason this time. (and he used to dribble the 24 second clock down instead of passing to Ming in the low post when Ming was a rookie.) He was acting childish last year and wanted to do things his way. He told us as much everytime he was interviewed. After coach would tell him what to do, he'd go on camera and say, "I don't know what more I can do?" And you guys gave him a free pass, and still harp on Rafer!

Okay. Well, we've just about traded every player on our team several times over in this thread. So, I guess it's time to trade Yao again. Hehe. Oh well, in any event, here's a couple of trades to chew on. I would only do one or the other, but not both of them.

    Trade #1

    Houston sends Yao/Battier to Orlando.

    Orlando sends Howard/Lewis to Houston.

Talk about shaking up 2 teams. Would Howard & Lewis be a better fit to Adelman's fast paced offense?

    Trade #2

Houston trades Scola to New Jersey.

New Jersey trades Yi to Houston.

Would NJ need to send a lottery protected #1 pick with Yi, or not? Yao & Yi, the beginnings of a new "Wall of China"?

You are biased and think too highly of our players. Do you really believe Orlando are willing to trade two of their young core players for a aging injury prone center and offensively challenged player.

And once again a 29 year old rookie, who most likely at his peak for a young and great potential player i Yi, i think we should be sending #1 pick no NJ if that were the case.

The Nets and Bulls had talked about a deal involving Nocioni for mostly guys in their last years of deals in large part because Chicago wanted cap space for Luol Deng and Ben Gordon.

I just read about the above on a rumor board. I'm not sure if this has been visited as a discussion topic for the Rockets so here goes. Nocioni has a good shot and hustles every play. Could he be a good fit for us off the bench to spell Shane and help with spacing on the floor?

What would we offer? The bulls seem to want cap room. Or should we go for Kirk Hinrich?

Whats your obsession with Zaza Zaur Pachulia?
Walter Hermann probably will go back to Spain
Plus David Andersen doesn't even want to come to the NBA..all he cares about is money and thats why he signed a big deal in Spain..apparently even the Euroleague champions Moscow wasn't good enough...

LLE to Maurice Evans?!!! Are you kidding me?

    Houston sends Tmac and Alston
    Cleveland sends Lebron and Gibson

Talk about shaking up 2 teams, Would Lebron & Gibson be a better fit to Adelman fast paced offense?

Pachulia has a 4 million expiring contract. You trade two players you don't want, and you get a trade asset.

Andersen was hoping to head to the NBA this season but Billy Knight got fired and the new Hawks management weren't interested. Barcelona hired Moscow's coach. He signed for less money to follow his coach.

oh ok in that case the trade will be good. Didn't check his contract details so yeah...anyways hooroo now that pachulia trade sounds much better.

but don't think atlanta will do it unless they lose josh smith to FA

    Really?

I would've thought they might do it UNLESS they lost Josh Smith to free agency (they might want Pachulia's scoring in the post as opposed to Hayes' defence in that case...)

If they retain Josh Smith, then perhaps we might have a slight shot at getting Pachulia.

I'd love to add him - especially for Head/Hayes (provided we get Mo Evans to replace Head). If Yao gets injured, we're not wheeling out Mutmobo/Hayes/Woods - we'd be sending out a guy who can be productive on offense.

Noticed the Grizzlies have 3 young PG in Conley, Lowry, and Critterion.

    Any interest in those?

Conley for Chuck Hayes and Head ....pretty one sided but what do you guys think?

I'm glad you mentioned that.Clutch has said to look at things from the opposing team's point of view, but it's amazing that some people just don't get it.

    It's true.
Some of the trade ideas I see here are just insulting , it's that bad.
Sometimes the other team doesn't even have 1 reason to even start considering the trade.

I believe I said one sided but was advertising the idea they had 3 pg's all better than our 1 ALSTON....let me guess you guys think Aaron Brooks will be a player in this league for years to come and you wouldn't give him up for Lebron?

BOTH OF YOU A GOOD TRADE RIGHT NOW and I will be a man and own up to it if its good...

Dude I went through evey page of this thread since MAY5th you have not CONTRIBUTED one single trade idea.....thats astonishing for a guy that seems to know whether every trade is good or not....

Even though I am a rookie I accomplished more in one week than you have in two months......not bad for a rookie huh?

    SHAY

Is it me or does Bobby Jackson+ Luther Head and a first round pick (25?) sounds fair for Stephen Jackson....oh thats not one sided? That was the only trade idea I saw for you in 42 pages.....hey dude were tied not bad for a rookie HUH?

I made my initial comments on the fact that I heard that Memphis was not happy with either Conley or Lowry.

Critterion is taller and we have enough vertically challenged PGs on this
team already...so therefore I was throwing the idea out there.

DO YOU GUYS ENJOY YOUR LIVES ARE WHAT?

Whoa, there. It's neither polite nor your place to be calling out those two, particularly since I would imagine Golden State would laugh at your offering.

Memphis wouldn't pick up your phone calls for a month. Chris Wallace would probably call Les Alexander and recommend he fire his idiot of a GM before he pissed anybody else off with his horrible offers.

Hayes and Head for Conley? Really?

And you have the nerve to call someone regarding their outside lives when you are busy boasting about how much you post?

I wish I were half as cool as you.

It was sarcastic I didn't mean to hurt their feelings I'm sure they have great lives....I'm just pointing out that their not GODS....this a website dude.....and on this particular thread they have not contributed one good idea before criticizing a person who is here to enjoy the site they are ruining with negativity......

Golden State?.....the guys play for Memphis and I just read that Kyle Lowry is definitely on the block not Conley......SORRY.

    THIS WHOLE THREAD IS HYPOTHETICAL

If we listen to some of the guys who have been here forever we would still have CATO, MOBLEY and FRANCIS would have been well worth the oppurtunities we missed let me tell you......

I'm gonna try more thats why I'm here.....REALGM is so easy....easy as negativity I guess.

    WELCOME Charybdis.....thanks for the advice.
