I'm going to get killed if I post this:

Houston trades Shane Battier, Luther Head for Malik Rose, Al Thornton, LAC's 09 1st (Lotto protected)

LAC trades: Cuttino Mobley, Al Thornton, 09 1st for Jamal Crawford, Shane Battier.

New York trades: Jamal Crawford, Malik Rose for Cuttino Mobley, Luther Head

Houston does a high risk-high reward trade; sacrificing Shane Battier to get a potentially great player in Thornton (Better version of Travis Outlaw IMO) as they start stock piling talent. They also get Malik Rose, which can be added with Bobby Jackson to get Vince Carter. (VC for Bobby Jackson, Malik Rose, HOU's 09 1st):
    PG: Rafer Alston/Aaron Brooks/Steve Francis
    SG: Vince Carter/Al Thornton/Brent Barry
    SF: Tracy McGrady/Donte Greene/Steve Novak
    PF: Luis Scola/Carl Landry/Chuck Hayes
    C: Yao Ming/Dikembe Mutombo/Joey Dorsey

LAC does this to complete their new and improved team:
    PG: Baron Davis
    SG: Jamal Crawford
    SF: Shane Battier
    PF: Elton Brand
    C: Chris Kaman

New York does this to create cap flexibility for potential 2010 free agents.

Guys...I dunno but you seriously don't need to give up Battier Brooks AND Francis...thats giving up way too much for a player the Kings want to dump away anyways...

Wasnt the rumor last trade deadline that we decline Battier Hayes and Brooks for Artest because we didnt want to also give up Brooks? No need to add Francis in it. He could bounce back you know...

If we were to do a 2 team trade with the Kings, I dont see why they would want Battier. They already have Salmons and Garcia at SF who are both pretty good. It'll be nice to dump Rafer on them, even if it means giving up many picks.

Couldn't we give them Landry in a S&T?

    Landry @ 3.3mill + BJax = Artest?

They get the expiring contract plus a cheap young PF.

We'd probably need to sweeten the deal with a pick(s).

Artest did not opt out. But who knows maybe there is a loophole.

The guy who would be a major pick up for us in my opinion would be RAMON SESSIONS a rookie out of Milwaukee.

He is a 6'4" point guard who's 2nd half of last season was incredible to say the least.

I don't feel like putting up the stats from those games but you are welcome to check it out on nba.com.

If Morey were able to snatch this guy up, I would feel like he had definitely accomplished something this off season. I would trade Brooks for him straight up and not think twice about it.

Annual raises are limited to specified rates - usually 8% or 10.5%. You can give a big jump in the third year only to Gilbert Arenas FAs (certain restricted free agents with one or two years in the league), but you have to have the cap space free in the first two years, anyhow.

I know you said to entertain you - I was singing while I typed this. Hope that counts.

Don't you think a franchise like Milwakee that has two aging PGs and needs a serious upgrade at pretty much every position except for SF and SG now would want to keep this kid no matter what...

ok - I'll post them for you.

    Sessions (sorry SESSIONS)

    Post all-star break:

    Mpg: 26:23
    Ppg: 8.1
    FG%: 43.6
    FT%: 78.1
    3%: 42.9* (only 0.4 attempts per game)
    Rpg: 3.4
    Apg: 7.5
    Spg: 1.0
    Tpg: 2.1

    Aaron Brooks:

    post all-star break.

    Mpg: 10:24
    Ppg: 5.3
    FG%: 44.3
    FT%: 87.5
    3%: 41.7% (1.8 attempts per game)
    Rpg: 1.1
    Apg:1.6
    Spg: 0.2
    Tpg: 0.7

Clearly the numbers fall in Sessions (sorry - SESSIONS) favour - but he DID play about 2.5 times the minutes, and WAS playing on a team that were only interested in running and gunning - giving more possessions and more opportunity to pad the statline.

They only won twice in games that he played, and never won with him in the starting lineup.
In games that he played, they only held opponents under 100points once - and that team was Miami (who beat them).
Conversely, opponents held Milwaukee under 100 in more than half the games he played.

Before you come out with 'but everyone was injured' - Redd, Bogut, Mason, Villanueva were all fit and healthy.

Sessions (sorry - SESSIONS) numbers look flashy, but multiply Brooks by 2.5 - 16ppg, 4.8apg and hitting 2.4 3pointers per contest. Better shooting % across the board too...

Ouch - did Aaron Brooks just own him? Oh - and he was actually getting minutes on a WINNING TEAM!

Thank goodness you're not the GM.

    RAMON SESSIONS: it's spelt H-Y-P-E.

Maybe he'll go on to be a very good player? But it certainly isn't worth giving up the sharp-shooting-speed-machine Brooks at this stage!!!

Maybe next time you should check the figures yourself and educate yourself as to what Sessions actually produced rather than getting excited because he posted 24 assists in a 20 point loss to the Bulls!

So they have 1 PF on the roster now?

It might be worth their while strengthening their weakest position by adding a guy who has shown he can compete at NBA level to help their young rookie adjust to the tougher competition!

It wouldn't hurt them to bring in BJax as a backup for Udrih either.

Besides, their 2/3 spots are a total logjam: Martin, Salmons, Garcia, Douby - not to mention Artest!

I'd love to get the guy, and of course I'd give up Battier for him - but I'm not sure the Kings would want that...

uh..no way. if u have a peak at their roster: they are literally stacked at PF..like stacked with useless PFs that cannot do anything except sitting on the bench with horrible contracts. Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Mikki Moore, Kenny Thomas---are the 3 PFs that have bad contracts and I think only Mikki Moore gets decent play time. Now they got Thompson who will be their 4th PF. Don't think giving them their 5th PF is a good idea.

    And Douby is a PG...

They only lack a good PG..thats why I say I'm willing to give them our whole PG lineup...they can take all of Rafer, BJax, and Brooks if they want.

Its funny how many Chinese posters seem to think that about Mo Williams.

I'm sure its just a coincidence and has nothing to do with Yi.
