Taylor will get some solid minute at 2
C-bud and Ariza also could play 2
and we play Lowery with Brooks a lot
so we really don't need another backup SG

PS: It is very stupid if we do not give Taylor a chance.

Taylor is the perfect backup to Martin.

Why waste money on FAs when we have more then enough options and are already overloaded at the SG/SF position.

Taylor has some holes in his game as far as the NBA goes...primarily his lack of passing.

    ;)

But, he could play now..in a Von Wafer type of role.

He had some major defensive lapses yesterday. On one Suns possession, CBud's man set a screen on Taylor. Chase flashed out to the ball carrier to give time for Taylor to recover but when he went back to his man, Taylor was nowhere to be found. The ball carrier drained a wide open jumper.

On another possession, Taylor had just driven for a layup but he never found his man on defense and ended up on the opposite side of the court from the man he was guarding and ended up surrendering a wide open 3.

There was probably more when I wasn't playing as close attention. His defensive awareness needs to come up if he's going to see playing time.

It is his lack of awareness overall that is the problem....he seems to be locked in on one thing at a time and if it is scoring, then fine...

I think Taylor is still a D-league player right now.

He needs to show he can play off the ball.......

But, I think the Rox may be showcasing him this summer league to see if someone wants to trade....

Bosh isn't a superstar either...he just wants to be paid like one.

"we are a lottery team". Really? that's the problem, youre not looking at the big picture. this team is hardly a typical lottery team, we just had injuries.

They're perfect examples. They get close, but never have the chemistry to close the deal, which is what you get when youput together alot of good talent that doesnt fit well. Is that what we want? I thought the goal was to win a ring, not to get really close and fail miserably time and time again? Are you satisified with that? with being like the suns as well? The regular season doesnt mean everything. We should know that better than anyone else after the 95 championship and now seeing someone like boston just step it in the playoffs.

Superteams havent shown the ability to win rings...you need guys who are willing to take a big step back and become role guys, like ron did with LA...they're the closes thing to a superteam that's won a ring. The pistons had good talent, but no superstars, which is the mold we're pretty much in. you either need the superstars + role guys, or semi-star talent all around with solid role guys off the bench. We're fine with our team for the most part.

Why do you think Morey didnt go after lebron? Rudy gay(besides being overpaid? He hasnt really gone after a wing because they like their rotation there. They tried to upgrade a spot, the pf spot, where we already had a guy who's more than a role player. This way it's not disrupting the chemistry. You still have "go to" guys or scorers in the same spots and role guys in the other. If we were to acquire granger i'm pretty sure scola would be out the door. They'd plug in hill or more likely PP, therefore switching the role player from the SF spot to the PF spot. In this case it would work since socla is a FA, but at another time you can just acquire granger and figure out what to do with scola later.

Memphis are set to sign Tony Allen of the Celtics ... he would have been a very nice backup SG behind Martin. Damn, Grizzlies!

I believe Patterson can play some 3 sending some minute to Ariza at the 2.

    Martin / Brooks / Ariza / Budinger / Shane / Taylor

We are covered at the two as long as Lowry doesn't leave because we will need to go small against some teams.

He is not d league player because if he was we just would put him in it now and teams could see how good he is there not summer leauge!
The kid has been working his ass off since the begining of summer to get some minutes in the NBA not d league! We don't have a real back up sg besides him so that's why I believe he will get alot of minutes! He will be th Von wafer off the bench because right now we don't have that scorer off the bench which we need. And the big difference between Von and JT is the willingness to learn. Von did not make any strides. JT has made huge strides!

I think we are too good to have Von Wafer in the rotation. JT had better be better than that.
