I think it was Clutch who once commented something along the lines that Rocket River's posts look strange, but somehow make a lot of sense. Personally, I've always read the posts of this long time Clutchfans denizen like they were poetry. They don't require much editing to look like a poem and he always signs them, which makes them even more convincingly so.

The rules for this thread are simple. Find one of Rocket River's old posts, edit the format if needed (editing content as little as possible), give it a title, and make a poem out of it. It's amazing how poetic some of the posts end up being! (hopefully Rocket River does not take offense to this thread, and please lock if so)

    To start things off:

    ----
It's All Good by Rocket River (link)

    It's all good . .
Until students think bagging a teacher is a right of passage
And they take their crushes or emotions toward a teacher too far. . . .
    Then . ..
When they kill the teacher and drag her into the woods. . . .
    We wanna act appalled
    And surprised.

    ----

A Hard Time Calling Many Modern Players THE BEST by Rocket River (link)

If Lebron is playing a scrub
On a skill level the scrub
    . . has no chance
    . .skillwise.
    BUT
. . If a scrub beats Lebron to the spot
    . . a clear charge!
    ...he won't get that call

If a scrub strips him clean . . . he will get a foul called on him.
If a scrub gets by him and lebron fouls him to get the block
Lebron has a good shot of getting away with it.

If you are THE BEST . . .
WHY DO YOU NEED ALL THE ADVANTAGES
I know it is about TV, Ratings, Etc
but IMO it diminishes LeBron, MJ, etc

Why does THE BEST need to resort to such cheap theatrics
Once you reach that next level . .you dominance over those below you is
    almost

    Ref Assured

GOOD QUESTION by Rocket River (link)

I think once 'p*rn' becomes 'regular'
I think 'p*rn' goes the way of the 8-track tape

Now I think 'p*rn' is being diminished by the 'amateurs'
Shoot all you need is a willing couple and a camera

    Esp if
    they are
    [somewhat] attractive

    ----

Why Not Go for 2? by Rocket River (link)

If he had gone for it . . ..
I would not have been mad.
    Esp if it was on
    The LEFT SIDE with Foster

    Honestly . . .in overtime. . .
When the 3rd and 2 failed
I kind of wanted him to go for it

    On 4th and 2

    ----
Except the Religion of Science by Rocket River (link)

    Except the Religion of Science.
He has become Devout in 'his scientist'
While simply lampooning all other scientist and religions

    As with most . . .
They have a devout faith in THEIR BELIEFS
And [he] is no different .. . .
Defy his belief system and he sticks his fingers in his ears and smirks

Those who agree with him . . .
    Love him
    Those who don't . . ..
He despises and belittle as ignorant and stupid

    [sound familiar?]

I always read them like his brain freezes up mid sentence. Like his thoughts are there, but the words have a hard time getting together.

Either that or he's a big fan of yoda.

I wanted to make this one Haiku, but would have had to edit content too much to fit the structure right.
    Drunks and Smokers

    Drunks and Smokers
    say it calms their nerves
    nothing about hallucinations

    That is some wilde stuff

    I have seen enough
    about METH and CRACK
[not saying this is the same]

    I cannot help but wonder. . .

    What smooth line,
    what strong need
would make ANYONE try either of these

    even ONCE!

    Massa by Rocket River (link)

    You can bow and scrape
    all you like
    you can cry YESSA MASSA
    all you like
you can accept your second classcitizenship
    where you have no rights

that the cops don't allow you to have

Just don't expect the rest of society
    to do the same

    A friend
put it all in perspective for me
More people die from the FLU everyyear
than total people to have died from Ebola

    It is sad and scary
    but . .. let's relax a little

Here's one I did several years ago, impersonating Rocket River in talking to his so-called 2nd ID, studogg. This is from the thread "Longhorn Girl":

    Well it depends...
Do some folx find your booty sexy?
I mean . . .it is something you need to ask yourself
But unless you have a rack like the redhead chick
I doubt many folx would give you attention

    White people bad...
    Black folx good...
    Science fails
    At
    GODliness
    Black folx innocence unquestioned
    Juries whiteness is the problem
