OK. An older person getting the flu while not being vaccinated is pretty dangerous. So should I conclude that the flu shot served no purpose in her case, or that it possibly saved her from severe illness?

 

Well, she did get pneumonia, so no, I don't think her getting the flu every year is helpful. But it's her decision. I haven't even had a head cold in at least 7 years.

 

My mom and dad get the flu shot every year. Every year they don’t get the flu.
