Definitely. There have been small point guards that have made a difference like Iverson, Stoudamire, Ford, Nelson, Webb (for brief stretches), etc (because I don't have any more to list ). So it's entirely possible that Brooks will succeed in the NBA. Whether he succeeds as a starting PG or not remains to be seen. I think his shoot first style of play is more suited for being a tremendous asset off the bench ala a Bobby Jackson when he was good with sacramento.
i can not agree with you, everyone can not avoid making a mistake, we should give him more opportunities to correct his flaw, furthermore, making a team is so difficult that we can not dispart it in a hurry. In my opinion, we should replace some guys in the end of December because we can know every guy clearly at that time !

Brooks will be an effective if not very suprising offensive player in this league for a long time. He is totally the future of this team and i think may become an all star caliber player. I think the rockets hit on him like the spurs hit on tony parker. Late round pick that turns out to be a great player. The rockets will realize that sooner or later this year as he continue's to blow past people and give the rockets a big boost off the bench.

Where did that come from? Do you seriously believe that DaDakota needs the BBS to boost his ego? Even DD would admit that that isn't necessary or contemplated. I have no doubt that he made peace with his ego long ago. He knows just how LARGE it is, or isn't. I have no doubts on that score.
I have to admit that coming into the season I was skeptical on Brooks, but his decision making has finally caught up with his physical abilities. He can get his shot pretty much against anyone. He's already got a nice floater off the backboard. If he can learn the Tony Parker floater with is mostly directly at the Rim it will give him another angle of attack. Last year he seemed to be a spot up shooter but this year he's coming around picks for nice mid range jump shots. His passing has improved as well. I don't know if he'll start or not but it's nice to see Rafer hit some shots vs the Suns could he be feeling a little heat from Brook's play as of late.

I had high hopes for Aaron after last season. When he stunk it up early in the pre-season, I admit, I didn't think he'd play well at all this year. He's been terrific so far.
