I have seen enough, it is clear that what the Rockets lack is a 2nd penetrating player to set the table for his teamates.

Watch any of the other quality teams and they have a couple of playmakers that can penetrate and set the table for jumpers.

The Mavs are a prime example, they have ZERO post players but they drive into the lane and dish out for a WIDE open shot.

Now, I know the Rockets are struggling but I believe most of that is due to people trying to do too much rather than playing within their strengths.

Aaron Brooks should get a shot, because Steve, James, Rafer, and Luther all have major flaws in their games.

Steve just has lost too much and is not the same player anymore - time to sit him down

James has the quicks and the penetration capabilities but doesn't set the table for his teamates.

Rafer can't finish, and just doesn't penetrate enough - he is not quick enough to get in the lane and teams don't collapse on him when he does.

Luther - purely an undersized spot up shooter.

That leaves Brooks.......it is time he gets a shot....

We need that 2nd player that can penetrate and take the pressure of Yao and Tmac....

Brooks is the ONLY one on the Roster that can do it......Rick....play Aaron please.

And Morey feel free to trade any of the following players.

    Francis
    James
    Bonzi
    Battier
    Luther
    Snyder
    Novak
    Rafer
    Hayes
    Deke
    Landry

    The only must keepers are:

    Tmac
    Yao
    Scola
    Brooks

This team is just not working....try BROOKS now.....or make a trade.....before it is too late.

Aaron Brooks should get an "opportunity" at most. He's no ANSWER.

The "answer" is NOT in this team

It'll have to come from elsewhere

I love ya man, but no. No.

The thing is, it doesn't seem like anybody really wants the ball. By the time that anyone figures this out, its too late to push the ball into Yao and well Tmac has been less than impressive as of late. We need an on the court leader, it doesn't really seem like there is one. AB won't solve that problem.

Bench Tmac. Play AB. Trade Rafer.

    3 Keys to success.

Agree about at least giving brooks a shot as the first pg off the bench for a couple of games. certainly couldn't hurt at this point.

Too bad we don't have a backup coach...our guys are not playing hard for Adelman.

Problem is brooks will give you those mistakes that all rookies make and sometimes starting them pre-mature can screw up their confidence and game.

That said, at least when he's out on the court he'll give a damn about what he's doing. And at least he has at least 1 skill that differentiates him from other players out on the court. And he can both dribble and shoot.

The answer is something has to give. Either Adelman finds the right personel via trade or he is the one to leave. His ball isnt working. What offense do we have so far as he promised. Freaking worse than JVG's. All you JVG haters, I didnt hear ya biatch about Adelman's offense, except coming up with new excuses. Be consistent.

    Ironically....

V-Span leaving really hurts this year, I was for getting Scola, but V-Span would be huge on this team right now...he is exactly the type of penetrate and dish player this team needs....desperatly.

Try Brooks, because if the Rockets had someone to set the table, it would be an amazing transformation out there.....

    My keepers are:

    Yao
    .
    .
    .

    pretty much it.

McGrady, you're great and all, but when I'm thinking you're closer to kicking the ball in the stands again rather than leading the team or playing with passion, you're getting just a little hard to watch out there...."bro"

I thought RA's offensive "genius" would make things easier for everybody... and wouldn't need some magic penetrating PG (who is a rookie, btw), to save them.

The bottom line is that this team was always more suited to be a half-court/grind it out/commit to defense more team.

They need a coach who will allow a team to play to their STRENGTHS, not simply try to make a square peg fit in a round hole no matter what.

Hell, even JVG adapted in 2004-05 when he had guys like Barry, Wesley, and Sura who liked to get after it and push the tempo... he had no problem with them putting up early/crazy shots, as long as they were commited to getting back on defense, and always playing hard.

Enough with the v-span comparisons. Lest we all forget V-span couldn't shoot his way out of a paper sack.

    Nick,

The problem is that playing the inside out game will get you in the playoffs but will always fall short.

You got to have that 2nd penetrating player.

    Spurs - Parker/Ginobli
    Suns - Nash/Barbossa
    Mavs - Terry/Harris/Howard
    Pistons - Billups/Prince

You need to have at least 2 penetrate and dish or finish players......to keep other teams honest.

Right now you can double Tmac and Yao and play the guy with the ball on the Rockets and shut them down....and that is sad.

Fair enough, as a Rookie he struggled....but we need someone with his attack the basket mentality ....STAT !
