i don't get that feeling at all. its the players that make or break a system, and for the most part they've been breaking it. hopefully the players build on this and get more familiar with the offense.

I really like Aaron. He s better than Francis and James. I think that our starting pg should be Alston and the backup pg should be Aaron Brooks.

Watched the game on Chicago's WGN which is broadcast on nationwide cable for some reason all these years...

THe announcers of the Bulls said that AI said the other night of Brooks (who AI was guarding/chasing), walking by the Rockets bench, 'You better tell that guy to slow down, or I'm going to have to trip him'...

6 assistases in 17 min says it all. Rafer had 6 too......in 31 min. Give Brooks some more pt and he will continue to improve.

DD- I just wanted to give you props.

That Chicago win made me eat humble pie. I actually saw the potential of the offense, while shots are falling.

Thanks for enduring my Rockets Depression.

I hope we make the playoffs and I can eat CROW every game.

    Rhester,

You don't have to eat any humble pie you are not afraid to take a risk and discuss the team and what you think is better for it, and that is what being a fan is all about.

Some people though just like to come in and bash people that want to discuss what might help the Rockets, that is what the BBS is for...discussion.

As for the topic at hand it is not just how shots are falling, but how they are created.....if you notice, Luther was WIDE open and the defense had NO chance to recover, that is what a good penetrating PG can do.

It not only helps teamates that are struggling it makes it EASIER to shoot...and takes the pressure off significantly.

That is what I have been talking about....get a PG that can attack the basket and let them create some opportunities for the other players.

It is not a stretch to watch Brooks make the pass, he sets the table very nicely.....Rafer gets a lot of his assists by dumping it to Yao and tossing it to Tmac......

Brooks creates well for others......and he moves without the ball as well.....

If we can get Tmac to play off the ball, this team can fly....especially with a change of pace PG like Brooks.....

I like it........it is early, but I still think this team has potential.

Let's hope Adelman gets TMac on board too, so the team can really take off.

There is less doubt as to what he brings us on offense, but just like Luther Head the question is how much of a liability he will be on defense. Tonight should be the a good test with two quick-but-not-quickest guards in Billups and Hamilton that do most of their damage from the mid-range.

I don't think any of the best point guards in the league (Nash, Paul, Kidd) are defensive stand-outs, but they hold their own. At the point the name of the game is to give more than you get, so hopefully Adelman gives Brooks the chance tonight to really prove himself.

Denver & Chicago had small guards in AI & Gordon who don't defend. If he can do it against Detroit it would be a good sign that he can contribute more this season.

I don't have any doubt Brooks can get around Chauncey Billups, but he has to hit his shots. On the other end of the floor, he has no chance to stop any of their guards.

Let's see... if you guess every possibility without consequence, I guess some of those might come true. It's called the shotgun approach. What risk are you taking? It's not like you've got a lot of credibility to lose.

For the record, I do NOT guess every consequence, but there has been a recurrent problem with this team for years....a penetrating PG....i firmly believe that makes all the difference as for the rest.....

I enjoy Rockets talk, discussing what is wrong and what can be done to make it right.

You may call it a shotgun approach, I call it passionate fandom.

As for credibility, meh, if I don't have any with you, that is your opinion.

People just like to come in to my threads and instead of talking about the topic, bash me, but of course it is all my fault, right?

Sometimes if people paid more attention to the message rather than their own personal feelings about the poster they might actually enjoy some discourse about the great Rockets team.

But, that may be wishing for too much this Christmas season.

    MERRY CHRISTMAS - HATERS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    :D

he was getting crossed over by lindsey freaking hunter. That remind me of Spanoulis getting abused by Kyle Korver.

you guys are over valuing defense too much.

yeah maybe his defense in those 6 minutes killed us, but does that matter when you offense is this anemic, it's pathetic. Look at us out there.

Maybe Brooks is the Energy guy off the bench much like Barbosa is for the Suns. Barbosa didn't get huge minutes his rookie season either but he's incredible now and one of the fastest guards out there.
