He has absolutely no idea of how to find his man off a pick and keep him from getting to the basket. He was hesitant on the 3's he attempted. Only bright spot was his penetration in the lane for a couple of nice passes.
He played pretty well, let him get comfortable.......his driving and dishing was the first 2 of the game....too bad the team didnt't finish for him. Got to give him some minutes to get comfortable. DD
The 5-10 measurement is in sneakers. He's really around 5-8 or 5-9 but he's very slight of build and it showed tonight when he was in the game. Like I said, I really like the kid but I just don't feel he can overcome his physical deficiencies. He's also not really a pure PG but that's another issue.
Sigh, was there anything about what I said that wasn't fact based? Link 5'10.5'' barefoot. 5'11.75'' in shoes. He needs to get stronger, but he isn't Nate Robinson small.
loved seeing brooks out there. wish his shot could have fell but a couple nice passes. he only got three minutes, hopefully more will be given the next game.
how are we supposed to know if the answer is AB in 3 minutes??? this game was terrible from a defensive vantage point, our guards did absolutely nothing. kenyon flipping dooling had a field day i know this much. luther head is NOT the answer.
I really want to believe that Brooks will be the answer, but after the whole Gay/Sefalosha/Battier debacle, I’m finding really hard to have any faith in our scouts.
I think Rick Adelman played Brooks too early at the end of 1st quarter. Brook really got abuse at defense. That's when the Magic start to get into its offensive rhtyhm and the momentum shifted. From what I see, Brooks will always be a defensive burden. Brooks is just too small.
i thought he looked good offensively...defintely not as bad as francis has been. defensively though he was getting burned.
Who cares? You have a 7'6" giant on the back line guarding the basket.......let Brooks play. We need someone who puts pressure on the defense. Tonight I thought he shoudl have played more and Scola too. DD
Seriously? "Who cares" about defense? If Brooks wants to play, he has to be able to defend. I'm not saying he can't, I'm just saying that what you posted is silly.
Brooks has another opportunity against Denver. Francis will be out. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/5392673.html
He's not the answer but can be a refresher. And get more minutes against Denver to show what he's capable of. I like him as a chance of pace backup guard in the smaller Kyle Lowry mode.
If ya want a shooter, insert Landry. The guy can flat out score. He's also bigger than Hayes and he can nail the 18 footer and has great post moves.
lol, if there can be a thread about putting in a unproven rookie to save the day, then I can get behind my rookie!
