Rubio will be a perenial All star, a SUPERSTAR NBA player. He is worth gutting the roster for..... DD
wow, his dribble is like a circus player.. he schools Kidd and Deron.. and this kid sure know how to pass, especially in the transition.. he would be be perfect under RA system.. after searching couple of RR video in youtube, he's got some instinct for the steal too.. although maybe his skinny size will be a liability matching up against NBA players.. i think Morey is very concerned about the PG.. he makes a lot of approach on that position.. from trading Alston and bring Lowry, draft Llull and try to buy the draft rights of Rubio..
i'd take al jefferson, love, brewer, flynn, rubio give me some combination of the 5 players, we got ourselves a deal.
lol once in a lifetime? DD you need to get a grip. I like rubio a lot and I think he will be a great player but you act as if you've never heard of chris paul.
ariza +tmac contract for igouldala and scrubs. trade should work, but then again, im not a gm for a reason.
those passes really remind me of how T-mac passes. Its too circus looks good but like won't translate I reckon
i love Rubio and actually agree with DaDa on his potential but canwe get him here now or next season? whoever Minny would want is prob. an important part or our winning chemistry now. if we could get a 3rd team involed so Minny could get that talent and we just take on a bad contract and the rights to Rubio i'd be all for it. I really don't mind lossing lowry but we need a someone who can draw contact like him in return.
I couldn't believe how he was schooling Kidd, Williams, & Paul in the Olympics. Dude is a magician with the rock
The guys on his team would always need to be looking for the pass. Rubio's amazing, at least on the Euro/international level. Until he plays in the NBA, we'll never know just how good he is. I hope he does, because he'd be a gas to watch!
Not being able to get Rubio for a few years reduces his value, i.e., what DM would have to pay for him. This is a classic DM move. I'd have to believe DM would want some kind of guarantee that Rubio would sign with us at the first possible moment, though.
Certainly, with all of this excitement surrounding Ricky Rubio, one must recall the anticipation of Sergio Rodriguez. I recall Rodriguez as possessing similar skills and numerous highlight reels from youtube.com.
I like Rubio and think he will be a good player in the NBA. That said, please stop rewriting history, even though I know you can't resist doing it. I distinctly recall both games, and he didn't really school anybody in either of the two games vs. the US - and in fact looked quite overmatched trying to stay with Chris Paul and Derron Williams one on one a lot of the time. His combined statline in both games was 14 points on 2-7 shooting, 6 assists, 6 steals, 6 TO's. That's why Calderon played a lot more than he did in both games. He showed flashes yes but also a lot of his passes went into the front row. A futile request, but please stop rewriting history (also, Jason Kidd didn't play much in the Olympics despite being the nominal starter - for good reason).
Wow.....just wow. I've heard of him, seen one video of him a while back but not a compilation like that. He's absolutely amazing; honestly, his moves almost look like something choreographed for a Hollywood movie rather than real life basketball play. I agree with the above poster though, as I thought the same thing - the more aggressive and physical type of play in the NBA might be a challenge for him; he doesn't look like a very large young man. Of course, for his position he doesn't have to be built like Shaq, I don't mean that...but I can see some of the more aggressive and dirty playing players over here hammering him. I'm sure that's probably occurred to both him and his family, and may be a small part of why he's not so anxious to come to the States just yet.
