Correct me if i am missing something but what the hell? If we are going to give up assets to go with Tmac we will just let him expire...God that man is a moron.
WTF? His asseet is that big-ass expiring contract. If anything, they would owe us an asset. Screw this guy.
Seriously, that team sends letters us out about how they suck and they need more people to support it. Now they ask for an asset in return, take what you can.
From what I've heard, Kahn works similar to Morey in terms of approach. So why would he say something as illogical as that? I have a feeling that maybe the reporter asked him if he wants to move a certain player for T-Mac. And he said they'd do it if the Rockets would throw in someone else. That's the only way that piece makes sense.
So far the rumored offers have been... Sixers: Dalembert /& Brand Wizards: Arenas Knicks: Curry or Jeffries The T-Wolves are the only team among that lot who can send back only expiring contracts. The Rockets benefit by getting under LT which comes at the price of an asset.
Coming from a ****ty franchise thats so obsurd its not even funny. No thank you is being polite... Are you out of your Fu%£%£ minds! is not...
I still believe a sensical deal - for both teams - would be Blount/Card/Sessions/Rubio rights/#2 - McG/Air Bud.
I think Morey would consider this trade. Remember he did try to send Battier and Brooks to them last year for the rights to Rubio.
Not sure what the benefit would be for trading TMac for expiring contracts is since since TMac is an expiring contract. If the TPups could absorb about 10 million of TMacs contract with out sending us anything back DM might be interested in sending them something back in order to get us under the Threshold for this season but thats just not the case since the TPups are over the cap as well.
One possibility would be if he wanted to break up TMacs contract into multiple expiring contracts to facilitate a deal he already had worked out. Then the TPups would expect some compensation for assisting in the deal.
It would be a big splash in a market which needs (re)vitalization. Kahn knows if Rubio will ever suit up for Wolvsies; I wonder the answer?
