It is easier to play when the other team is playing scared and not attacking your feet, and the ball.

I'm not very surprised by the score board right now. But it's sad considering we had the 2-0 score.

    :(

I'm happy they have made it this far, and looked so damn good at times.

Try to tie this one up and win! USA!

See the difference? Brazil is up 1, and they are STILL attacking.....

That is how you play the game....you go for the jugular...attack attack attack....

And that midfield sub Kliestcha or whatever his name is....HE SUCKS balls.

that whole second half was trying not to lose, instead of trying to win. preventive defense, you had the feeling the whole time that brazil was gonna tie it up, i thought once they did we would at least look to attack some more, but dang. oh well

These announcers are idiots....how does BLOWING a game help them in high pressure situations?

They BLEW it in a high pressure situation.

The only thing they could learn is that they need to stop playing like PANZIES and attack the other team...

Damn the torpedoes FULL SPEED AHEAD !

I know it very well, explain to me which comments you are referencing.....or maybe you and I like different styles...

Perhaps you are an Italy pack it in and counter guy, where I am more of an aggressively attack the ball guy....

Brazil didn't even have Ronaldinho. Talk about a deep team.

Some of y'all make it sound like the entire result depended on how the U.S. played. As if there weren't another team - in fact, a more talented one - playing out there, too.

    Good game, great tournament.

Still a good effort, was a good game. Hopefully the US learned a few lessons- it was a miracle that they even got this far (or to the semis for that matter)

The US wouldn't have been up 2-0 if not for counterattacking goals. Shut up.

You don't win many when the other team has nearly 60% of possesion time, unless you are playing pure counter attack, and even then you need to pack it in more, we stopped pressuring the ball in the 2nd half, gave them room to move, room to dribble, too much time on the ball....

    Horrible 2nd half effort.....

And Altidore, I like his striking, but he is just not real creative with the ball and flat out quits to often.....when he could fight for the ball.

    Can we nationalize Wayne Rooney?
