Adriano has gained a lot of weight, he's got some substance abuse issues, he's never going to make the squad, he was a very good talent.

Rondaldinho was left out to make room for the younger guys, he's going to miss some World Cup qualifying games as well. But according to the coach, this doesn't mean he won't be on the squad in the future. Ronaldo might make the team as well, it's really going to depend on how the young guys play.

 South Africa commandeering the game?!?!?

Could it be a possible U.S. vs. South Africa final?

WTF is this, Bizarro Soccer World? ;)

South Africa is dominating Brazil at the moment. They've had possession for nearly the entire 2nd half to this point.

And Brazil scores with 2 minutes left.

Which I'm ok with, if the US is going to win the whole thing, do so by beating the best teams.

I agree. If that team yesterday shows up on Sunday, we have a real chance. Though, Brazil most likely watched yesterday. They're not going to be the team that allowed the US to take their first major tournament title.

Beating Spain and Brazil to win this thing would be magical.

It looks like Bradley has had an upgrade to his humor chip. But in all honesty, this seems like a good sign for us, we should do better if we just go out and play. We may still lose but at least we'll be playing our game.

I agree on Ching. Maybe still use Jozy in the Gold Cup before he goes back to Villareal. It's not as if he already has a starting or prominent role for the yellow submarines that he might lose if he misses part of pre-season.

They are going to lose three strikers this offseason (Franco, Nihat, and probably Rossi) so Altidore is moving up their depth chart considerably.

I hope so. The experience of actually playing in La Liga will be invaluable...especially going into the World Cup next year. Between this tournament, the rest of qualifying, and hopefully a first team season with Villareal, we should see an explosion in his game. He might become the dominating forward the US has never had...and he's still only 19.

Well nothings for sure, it's summertime and it's still all rumors as usual.
I don't think Rossi will go anywhere. Nihat maybe but I think Rossi has one more season before he probably goes back to Serie A. I know his agent is open to offers but I'm thinking they get a new contract for "Big" money and then some Serie A team puts in a bid next summer. We'll see how it plays out.
Guille Franco seems to have some interest from the EPL also. I assume Jozy is praying one of them moves on to another club. :D

I believe that Nihat is negotiating a retrun to Turkey and Franco has already said he is leaving as his contract has expired.

That leaves only Rossi (either to Italy or as a consolation prize to an English club) and Llorrente (who was pretty good last year) and some other dude whose name I forget on the first team.

Yeah I guess Nihat is already back at Besiktas. Well that bodes well for Jozy then. We'll see how it plays out.
