Damnit! I pressed rewind to watch the goal again, and as it was playing my Cable company did their weekly EAS test so I had that nasty LOUD raaaaaaa noise. Ugh.
35 without loss. Last time against Romania back in November of 2006... or something... but 15 wins in a row...
Im watching the game online on espn360 and also the gamecast.. LOL 88'Dempsey - who has been absolutely excellent tonight - goes off, to be replaced by Bornstein. 88'I don't think I've eaten my words yet so I'll do so now - the US boys have made me look very silly.87'Good cross by Mata and Onyewu smothers Puyol's attempted shot not once but twice. 86'Red card. Bradley is sent off - harshly - for a studs-up tackle. No malicious intent there. 86'Terrible offside decision from the same lino.
Yep. From the ESPN game blog: "The obligatory red card for the U.S. comes out and it's for Michael Bradley, which means he'll miss the game against Brazil on Sunday. "
See, the thing is that when you show the cleats out, it's an automatic card... it's either or... but you can't point your cleats out like that... be glad no one got hurt badly. That's dangerous. I think ALL the refs are looking at is if it seems like there was intent to foul. I think it was well-deserved. U.S. is playing well enough to not be bothered by that.
