I'm agnostic, but hell, I'd consider church if Howard finally met his end as a Rockets player. Of course, he would be superb on the Lakers... simply superb. Outstanding. Put you guys over the edge into WC contention. The man is a rock, a stud, amazing. You just have to trade for the guy, and damned lucky you will be. Yes indeed. LakersPride, I wouldn't be sensitive about how you're being treated here with this tidbit. After what I've seen of the way a similar post from a RocketsFan (or whatever) would be greeted at your site, I'd say you're getting deluxe treatment!
Ok, this is it. Some random Laker's fan must have read that thread and post it in the laker's forum as insider info. Then some other random laker's fan, aka LakersPride, came here post it as insider info. It's rumor feeding rumor.
However, Mihm is an injury prone. Is he slow to play PF position? and where would he find his place in the roster? Third back up center for the only powerless but forward we have? I hope the news is true, but I sure don't want Mihm on the roster next year. For Head, he's got potential and he is ready to step up. Don't forget he's also clutch before hitting the rookie wall. That's what the team want, someone who can take 3s at the end of a closing game, someone other than Tmac.
Just out curiosity how do you feel about this trade (if it does happen) LakersPride? You know how Howard isn't exactly loved on this board.
2 for 1 trade and a few picks. That sounds like a blockbuster deal. Are we talking about the same Juwan Howard.
Damn! And I have been sacrificing chickens left & right for 2 years to get rid of that sucka! 2 YEARS! DAMN!
Mihm cannot play PF, his lateral movement isn't up to it. Even playing next to Kwame Brown, a much more natural center who doens't even have Mihm's range, Mihm was forced to play center. Radman is not going to come off the bench. The clippers offered him the same money as the lakers and he was about to agree, but balked when they told him he would likely come off the bench. Radman is there to finally give the lakers a reliable shooter to give Kobe space. They will probably move Odom to PF and abandon his "Scottie Pippen" role. The lakers have no need for Juwan Howard. The lakers have all but abandoned their cap space plan, but he's still overpriced for his age and production. The lakers avoid luxury tax like the plague and Juwan Howard will put them over the edge or damn close for the next three years. I really doubt this is happening.
If we get Mihm, it would just be a salary dump. I'm not a big Mihm fan but he would be a decent backup for Yao, Mihm's contract expires next summer.
This regrettable BS hasn't been locked because??? I wish it were true but I also wish most of the proposed trades on this BBS could be true since they tend to favor our favorites...
Not if they give up Odom (please oh please), if my pipedream deal goes down: Juwan + Head + Sura for Odom, I don't think the Lakers will any worst cap wise, especially if/when Sura retires.
Maybe LakersPride is a lazy Laker scout thinking about picking up Juwan, so he came here to find out about him instead of doing actual work. In that case Juwan is an all-star waiting to happen. Him, Kobe, and Odom would work the triangle to perfection. Just playin, don't listen to the flamers, I appreciate the possible scoop. I don't really mind if its not true, what good's an offseason if you can't speculate and hope.
If lakers traded Mihn for Howard then they will have to move Kwame to center thus that left them Howard/Radman to man the PF position... which personally i think could be the worst PF tandem in the NBA..... both are terrible rebounders...
