The NBATV crew were absolutely horrendous last night. I'd rather have Clyde any day and twice on Sundays as to listen to that Laker homer commentator. Don't know who it was, but he was absolutely downright awful.
Not 100% sure BUT I think NBATV uses the home team broadcast (at least that is what they did last time we were on NBATV).
yeah to the best of my knowledge, NBAtv uses whatever home crew to commentate. though I do enjoy listening to other team's commentators, well at least for the most part. some teams have some outstanding color commentary of which I thoroughly enjoy listening to (ie Dominique Wilkins for the hawks, Mike Frattello for the Nets, or the color commentator for the suns, all very unbiased.) then again, you get homers such as tommy, whatever his name is for boston, whom literally make you want to reach through the screen and punch them in the face.

I thought the Laker guys were less homer-ish than a lot of other hometown broadcasters. I only get the Spurs in my area (and only watch when they play the Rockets) and it it down right disgraceful. Sean Elliot uses "we" in just about every sentence.
The LA crew was terrible, they didn't get excited about anything although in general commentary has not been what it used to be. I remember 90s basketball and back then, commentators would go nuts over great plays. Worrell has become better though, Calvin has rubbed off on him and the way he and Bull react to the Parsons kobe move, the three pointers by him and Camby etc. That's why I like them more and they might be more homers than the LA crew, they are way more entertaining. Drexler is just an idiot, he should just stay in Houston.
