Really need to be moving the opposite way, in the sense of consolidating players and picks. Trading Tari this early could be a bad idea, unless you are trading 2-3 pieces for a top picks and know what the draft looks like, it is pointless to be in this endless cycle of collecting multiple mid and late firsts when we know the coach will not even be able to maximize the talent of who they pick. They already wasted a pick on Christopher since he is not playing at all, and gave up a starting calibre 20/10 guy for him, who may end up being cut completely. Trading Tari Eason for the equivalent of Christopher and Garuba type players does nothing.

Tate definitely needs to go to a contender ASAP.

Not sure if Christopher is a good pick or not, but we don't know because he's not even being utilized, and we used a first round pick on him. Point being unknown picks are worth a lot less than a player that has already shown signs of being an NBA player. Eason has shown us this, to me he and Sengun are worth more than where they were drafted, but we won't get fair value for them this early. both Tari and Sengun to me are worth 7-10 pick, which I doubt we would get. Trading Eason for the sake of getting multiple late firsts , or even a mid first, it doesnt really seem worth the risk of getting a bust OR getting a player that Silas won't even play like Christopher, therefore diminishing his value on the trade market. Eason is getting minutes, I would only look to package guys for a young star level player with proven production, similar to how Pelicans traded for Ingram while also drafting high. There are very few productive players from the first round each draft.

I don't think people are annoyed by him and want him gone. We just don't see him as some untouchable core piece.

Tate is a tweener, too small to be a 4 and can't shoot well enough to be a wing or guard. He's too old to be expected to have significant upside. This last point is why he shouldn't be a priority at this time. We are looking to develop high ceiling prospects.

This....... the Rockets BS is getting really old when it comes to handling trades.

Stone needs to just turn over the trade negotiations to someone else.

There is no reason for Tate or Gordon or Marjonovic or Matthews to be on the team.... yet here we are.

I am sure Stone or his Athletic beat writer minion will talk up how great all these guys are and how they are worth so much.

Just stop it..... get a coach that can coach..... dump KPJ and the rest of these guys.

And then do what with the picks you get from Tari? Draft another player and hope they pan out like him? It seems like this fan base just wishes to flip all of our prospects for picks only to draft more player and flip them later for picks also

How well can prospects develop and learn the game if they are surrounded only by other prospects who need to develop and learn the game.

This is Hou’s first rebuild in a long time, this is a new thing for this fan base, but look around, ask around, teams have always needed vets around the young guys, on and off court.

We have by far the youngest on court rotation of any team in the league, and fans are still running around with tears in their eyes talking about how Gordon, Tate and Mathews need to be gone so the young guys can play… but the young guys are already playing.

Tari's ears perked up upon hearing this no doubt, praying it happens.

The whole Tate things fits when you consider the IQ of this organisation. Another player who is not part of the future, taking development opportunities away from those that are.

Why in earth would teams think we’re interested in trading Tari? Maybe as part of an EG deal, but I don’t see it. At this point, I’ll take anything reasonable for EG, and I’m not too sure where Tate fits in the future, but let’s get through one more lottery draft, and then we can think about trades for legit players, if the right deal present itself (stud PG) or young star.
