are you implying that Morey is trying to recover from the loss in Chinese viewers by adding this guy... to get more hispanic viewers this season?

    actually thats quite brilliant

Mexicans don't care about Mexican basketball. Plus no Spanish last name = won't know if he is Hispanic.

I still think he's just a guy they want to get a closer look at, and they needed another training camp body.

Pops is the guy who's going to make the team. Rockets may just leave a roster spot open for when McCants gets healthy or someone else crops up.

I doubt the Rockets rush Cook out of here just so they can sign Romel Beck.

    Quit the MEXICAN bashing. :p
    HASTY GENERALIZATION, sir.

Care to make that a wager, FLASH21?

I bet he's more disciplined than your players.

    You name it.

I'm not saying he won't make it due to being undisciplined, its going to be hard to make a team with so many wing players already and for him to pass 2 PG's that have been with the team from summer league and a PF that could bring much need rebounding and just a bit of size will be a task. ;)

Romel Beck is a really good football name, even hockey, but it doesn't sound like a basketball name at ALL.

...i realize this adds no real value to the discussion AT ALL

morey always has a balanced roster, so i'd put my money on conroy making the team.

Why? We don't need PGs... why do people on this ******* board want more PGs? We have Lowry and Brooks.... we don't need a third string. Plus, one of the SG's like Taylor or McGrady can play PG if one gets injured for a while or something. We need size, we will keep Pops, if we don't, it better be because he's the most mediocre player in training camp.

This will get some Hispanics interested, and some Germans as well.

    Exactly. I freaking don't care about PG's.

We have only one real SG on the team who will be there to open the season. As we all know McGrady will miss a month.

    What we need is:

    - shooting guards
    - SIZE

Apparently the Rockets really like Jermaine Taylor. We'll see how that goes.

God, get your self together man!

    It's training camp!

Were people so sad when we brought in Wafer, Strawberry, etc. last camp?

You guys really expect Morey to just rush to grab a band aid high paid semi all star via trade?

you bring in bodies for competition and to rest your vets.
