He's been here longer than everyone else not named Les and he's been a trainer with the USA team on a few occasions..in other words, he's cool with Melo.

Depends on what the offer for Love is. If it's a deal where we keep Parsons and only lose Jones, Lin, Asik, and picks, I think we pick Love over Melo. If they are asking for too much, we just sign Melo.

Well Rose limping up to the meeting with casts on both legs would undermine the whole process.

Keith Jones gonna get this deal done for us, along with our beautiful locker room. Welcome to H Town Melo.

I'm pretty sure the rockets would prefer to sign melo and keep Parsons....trading for Love would cost chandler

NO!!!! Not Melo! I'd rather have Deng lol. I know a lot of guys are pumped to get Melo but IMHO he embodies a lot of qualities that are wrong with today's NBA players: Me-first attitude, Lazy D, ISO mentality and contested mid-range J's all around. He's also stirred up **** wherever he went, in Denver both his coach and his co-players called him selfish, and then he lobbied for the max in NYN even if it cost them all the talent in their roster, and now he's leaving them for another team. Remember when Parsons his way to recruit Howard? Well Melo's certainly not THAT guy.

He also hasn't put a lick of work into his game in 10 or so seasons in the league, he's still the exact same player with the exact same skillset and weaknesses the Nuggs drafted back then. He's also 30 and will become slower over the course of his contract which means less post work which is his one good point and more mid-range J's which pad his stats but cost his team games.

If this team had a clear cut alpha male like say LBJ or Kobe then fine, Melo would be a great asset as he showed in the US Olympic games. But we don't right now Rox don't have a leader, in cases like this a bad apple like Melo can stir crap up with leader drama and generally just mess up the team chemistry.

I think this is a huge mistake, if we were gonna drop Lin and Asik just to get Melo I'd rather just wait for next year's FA crop.

Keep trolling, but the medical staff matters to the players. Jones is one of the best, and I can guarantee knows Melo through USA basketball:

Definitely makes sense that he is part of the entourage.

He has been known throughout Rockets recent history for helping recruit free agents. Don't underrate the man.
