Prigioni is not as bad of a defender as you might think

The sad thing is this 38 year old PG we just got might be the only player that can hit an outside jumper when Harden is triple teamed consistently or a break away layup unlike Beverly which in turn might be the value

I think the Rockets found someone who can run an offense, not turn the ball over and shoot the ball at 40%+ from three point land.

He is an under control Steve Blake.

I think it was an improvement, and a guy who could easily start in front of Beverley believe it or not.

True. I like the swagger Ginobli, Scola, Prigioni, and the rest of the Argentine team has. He will play with hustle and be a pest on D.

Agreed...and P can initiate pick and rolls all day long one of his specialties...and again, if he can hit the open shot which he did in NY then the rockets are totally different team going up against the elite teams we've lost to this year

The best way to judge Prigioni so to look at Calderon. On the same team (which has next to nothing defensively), and play the same position. Calderon is getting destroyed, while Prigioni is near league average. That's tells me something, but we won't know for sure until he takes the floor with the Rockets.

That's because a lot of the posters here don't know his game and assume that because he's old and white he is a bad defender. Keep in mind Pablo will be up against backups most of the time, if he ends up starting that means he has entered god mode and has blown Bev and Terry out of the water.

    Common sense?

    The KNICKS SUCKS!

If your starting lineup will be down 20+ so often in the first 10-15 minutes, you are playing your backups with other teams scrubs for the remaining of the games in garbage time.

Those are garbage time stats dude.

If Prigioni can hit an open shot when Harden is triple teamed I'll take it. We don't have 1 player on our team that can do that consistently. A basic skillset..just hit an open jumper. I could care less if hes 38 or a two year old baby....oh and please make layups..heck if he can hit open jumpers and make layups he's already 1 step ahead of Beverly. My understanding is he can set up pick and rolls like clock work also.
