How do you guys feel about trading Bonzi and probably someone else for Luol Deng?

What a great idea! Let's tank the season less than 15 games into it for an inknown commodity! Not smart.

It's quite obvious that I don't like rafer's plays, but I don't' even wanna mention the name Mike James again. Rafer is inconsistant, but at least he's gonna stay in Houston. Mike James would leave for the next paycheck. We already have bonzi for that.

If we are giving up Bonzi- We need a legitimate SG. A Power Forward would be great but I think that would need Juwan in the mix- not sure how many teams are salivating for Juwan!

I personally think James Posey would be a great SG/SF for this team. His defense and 3 point shooting would be great. He does not have too much baggage.

So Bonzi + Sura ( expiring contract) for James Posey. Throw is second round picks to sweeten the deal.

Or we may look at Antoine walker- for the PF slot ( Miami is not giving him minutes and that is a screaming need here- as he is definitley a good shooter ( not his 3 pointers!). His defense is bearable!

Posey would be someone to go after.

If Golden state agrees to tradin Murphy and take Juwan in a package with a future first rounder ( not 2007)- that is another possibility.

IF he is traded, it will probably to an Eastern Conference team looking to add another piece for the playoofs and the Rockets just get back on player who will be serviciable.

    Players such as:

Malik Allen (CHI) - would add nice depth in the front court with size.
Darrell Armstrong (IND) - Nice spark off the bench and a veteran JVG would love running the point in spare minutes.

Like I said, just a couple of examples but I wouldn't expect anything earth shattering in a trade for him.

I doubt Chicago would trade Deng for Bonzi without us having to give up someone we need.

So Chicago trades their 21-year-old and improving leading scorer for our "garbage"?

No trades can be done for Bonzi till after Jan. 2nd right? Since that is true, we should just wait till the deadline.

If we wait we might find a desperate team.

With the way the Mcgrady's game is evolving he should play the 2. It is just my opinion (and apparently my opinion can be scientifically measured as far less valuble than some other very pretensious "contributing members" to this highly important thread) but the Rockets should trade Bonzi for someone like Luol Deng or Tayshaun Prince... or even friggin Ryan Bowen would contribute more to the Rockets organization that Wells has.

Granted, Bonzi Wells has a lot of potential but his heart is made of **** and splinters. Maybe another organization would gamble away a decent piece of their team for the chance to see if he would pull his head out of his @ss for them.

Prince would be awesome, but I cant see Detroit doing it. But he could be great for them, they have a "player's coach". He may do fine there.

I think Deng would be a long shot.

    PS jdmb82,

It doesnt matter what these think of you, just keep posting. Most of them that post all the time are just jerkin the new guys around.

Bonzi is a unmotivated, out-of-shape, team cancer(if he plays on losing teams) who barely played at all this season, and everybody expects to actually get an impact player for him.

You guys need to stop smoking what you guys are smoking. Dont expect anymore then some 2nd rounders or a player far less talented, thats if we dont straight up release him.

Why on earth would someone trade us Tayshaun Prince or Luol Deng for Bonzi Wells?

Like I said when I prefaced that statement, Bonzi Wells is an amazing talent with a heart made of **** and splinters, but MAYBE some organization would be willing to gamble that he would pull his head out of his @ss for their organization.

Despite how unlikely that is, stranger things have been known to happen.
