I think Seattle would do Bonzi, JHO, and Head for a departing Rashard. Atleast the Seattle of our dreams......
Sometimes you just have to gamble. Bonzi is not doing anything for us, and Sene is a very young 7-footer who could play PF and backup C, a position we desperately need to fortify. Also, in a Bonzi-Sene trade, the lineup would move T-Mc to SG and use Shane at SF. And Sam, not all newcomers are flops. We have to gamble at some point, and Sene IMO would be a good gamble for a loafing mal-content. (I wish Bonzi would make me eat my words.) A veteran poster I know wanted us to draft David Lee rather than Luther. I wanted Chris Taft in that draft. Wow, I'd now love to go back in time to get on the Lee bandwagon. Moreover, I wish we could find a way to acquire him. However, once proven, a player like David Lee gets very expensive.
trade Bonzi for D. Wright in Miami, more athleticism to the front court. Plus, Heat might be the only team willing to take on Bonzi.
Once a TrailGangsta, always a TrailGangsta... Wells and whoever else for L. Aldridge. The state of Texas needs him back to finish the job he started when with the Horns.
I do not think anyone will give us a draft pick for Bonzi... If he was not a Rocket and was with this messed up situation in another team, I would not want us to give up a draft pick for him.
Green is work in progress and I think we got the message loud in clear in the Gay/Battier trade how JVG and Rockets brass feel about the idea of a project player. Besides, why would Ainge want Bonzi anyways? The only team that's gonna trade for Bonzi is a good or contending team that feel they could use that extra option for the playoffs. Basically, if Bonzi was still on the Kings and pulling this "I'm fat, I don't want to play" crap we would be sitting here saying we should trade for him. That being said, it makes little sense for Ainge to consider dealing for him especially at the expense of his draft day gem from last year.
Well first, I'd rather get a project for Bonzi as supposed to nada. Second, I can promise you that Doc, Pierce, and the Celtics' fans think they're a playoff team, being that they're in the weak sister conference.
how do you guys think Wally Szczerbiak would fit with rockets I now the celtics probaly dont want bonzi but mayble we could work out a three team deal of some kind.
Bonzi isn't going anywhere. Clutch closed the other thread due to misinformation and the kings poster removed his post also from his forum.
Hmmm....If we're gonna do a Boston deal I can't decide between your idea or mine of Howard, Bonzi and Sura (cap filler) for Wally World? Wally World would easily fit that idea of a consistent third option on offense. Career 50% shooter from the field and 40% from 3-pt land. His contract length is the same as Howard's so with Sura done and Bonzi probably never playing for us it becomes essentially Howard for Wally World with the main difference being we get to keep our draft pick. I can get over Wally's sub-par defense if it means having another guard on the roster besides Luther Head that doesn't make you cringe everytime they set their feet for a jump shot. Your idea is intriguing and unlikely (on Boston's end), however it would be extremely hard to pass up on a player like Green. The only problem is i'm trying to consider players that could help us out this year and get us over the hump. No more of this "Wait til next year!" crap, we have a realistic shot this year and need to make our move. Granted, Green does shoot well but he's nowhere near the impact player Wally World could be in the same situation. Plus, i'd kind of like to hang on to our first rounder.
First of all, you'd be paying a guy a lot to come off your bench. But putting that aside, why would the Celts want to trade a good soldier like Wally for Bonzi? If you deal Howard, Sura, and Bonzi for him, the Celts get a little cap relief, but not much. The only reasons I can think of is if they don't trust his health or they hate his defense. Either way, he may not be the guy for us. Still, an intriguing idea.
green would save our future. he's also a local prospect. though I did like that gerald green is wearing green. and I'd really like to see a rondo + oden + green team in 3 years.
Put the crack pipe down. Oden is not gonna be a rocket. he'll be a number 1 pick overall. secondly, noway the C's are gonna trade green for Wells. maybe Gomez, but green is a great prospect.
Best case Scenario is a vet like Rashad Lewis, worst case, it'll be a mid round pick and a scrub. more realiastic scenario will be a earl watson or a Danny fortson.the most frustrating part of this mess is, On Sheer talent, we'll never get equal Value.
I was talking about the celtics having rondo green and oden not the rockets lol. the celtics have a bad record.
For Argument sake's, do you think the C's will trade us there # pick and rondo or green for Bouncey i am the beach whales?.. noway.
Lucas & Wells for Ariza & Diener. With Ariza there's someone to pick up the defensive slack when Battier sits. Ariza's getting about 10-20mins in a game with the Magic depending on the night. How much has Bonzi's value dropped?
