I really think that DMo has to be under consideration when talking about bringing in bigs.

DMo from everything I've read probably has a game more on line with Bogut followed by Gasol. I think rotating DMo with either provides us with a luxury in the post and gives DMo a mentor. Gasol will move on more quickly and leave the job to DMo if he turns out to be the man. With Bogut, if he stays healthy, we could find ourselves in the position of having an "extra" top 7 footer which makes for VERY interesting trade scenarios.

Okafor is probably not going to mentor to DMo but would make a luxury rotation at defensive center with the bear. With the price on Okafor so low I don't see any reason not to do that deal regardless of the others.

    My preference:
    1. Bogut + SJax - I don't care for his chucking, but I think SJax might be motivated by coming "home" and he could make up for most of Martin's scoring (assuming he would be in the trade). The key is rolling the dice on Bogut. I tend to agree that he has been more "unlucky" than "injury-prone", and he's a Top 3 center in the league when healthy. He's a great team player and plays defense. We're not going to be able to get that type of talent with a low-lottery pick. Plus, it puts in better position to get 2 lottery picks this year (ours and NYK)
    2. Okafor + 1st round pick - I think you know exactly what you get with Okafor: solid, unspectacular play from an undersized center with an inflated contract. He, too, would be coming "home" (Bellaire HS). He can be a solid center on a playoff team, but you need to pair him with a scoring big (D-Mo?). The key is the 1st round pick. I can't imgaine that the Hornets would give up their own 1st rounder un-protected, and if not, then it's not worth it. Minny's pick is most likley going to be low-lottery, just like ours. We may draft an interesting player, but not a gamechanger.
    3. Pau - Pau is clearly the best current player of everyone listed, but he isn't going to be able to put this team over the top. His salary is reasonable for a playe of his talent, but way too much for a guy who won't be able to carry this team on his back. I wasn't even aware of a trade kicker, but that would be even worse. Plus, we would have to give up the most to acquire him.
Rest - I have no interest in the knuckleheads from Washington or the corpse of Kaman.

Hmmmmmmm.... if we traded for Bogut/Sjax - might help them pass NYK for 8th in east
and then traded for Okafor and got that minnie pick....
with Klow out for however long... Rubio out... if Portland could move up to #8....we'd keep our pick and minnies would fall into lottery....

we'd be sittin on Bogut/Okafor/Parsons/Sjax/Klow and 3 lottery picks....
