Looks like Wade Smith is the starting left guard...

Caldwell has to start, he is the best interior lineman they got. I'm glad one of Studdard or Myers is being sent to the bench although I think I wouldda preferred Myers

They were discussing this in the Cowboys game. When the league's reason for the change is to ensure a referee's safety, there's no logical argument that can beat that. And yet here's the sheriff who seriously couldn't wait an additional 2 seconds at most to let the umpire get behind their deepest back.

I do understand that this can affect every team when it comes to their 2 minute offense, but i think it's safe to assume that in that period of time the refs won't be lolligagging either. This is Ed Hochuli, half diesel engine half referee, not Joey Crawford.

I can't get the image of Myers being manhandled by Jenkins last year out of my head. Hopefully C is the #1 target in next years draft.

I expect Schaub, Foster and AJ to sit this one out. Demeco and Mario on defense. Position battles still up for grabs; Walters vs Jones, Rackers vs. Brown, Sharpton vs. Adibi, Nolan vs. Wilson. Sitting Mario out gives Barwin a chance to show what he can do in the course of a full game.

Don't expect to see much of them, if any. Well I know Schaub will be out. Dan O to start and play most of the game.

Didn't Kubiak already say that the starters wouldn't play at all in the 4th preseason game?

Can Caldwell play C at all? For some reason I was under the impresson he was drafted to be the C of the future. I'd like to see an interior combination of Wade, Caldwell, Briesel if at all possible.. Or any combo that involves Myers on the bench.

I thought he was a center in college, but they have not seemed to give him a lot of time there

he could play C but i think he needs more time. For now, he can learn at guard.

I know this seems to get overlooked here, but Kubiak apparently is happy with Myers at C and Caldwell apparently didn't do a very good job with the position.

Can someone post a real analysis of Myers's performance at C? I wonder if The Swat has colored our impressions of him?

He is a very smart and technically sound C. Moves very well. He is just undersized.

His weakness can be covered up with better guard play.

Also in goal line situations he's part of problem too. Can't get a push to save his life.
