I think I'll post my opinion and scratch my balls ALL AT THE SAME TIME. I've been called quite the multi-tasker.

Patriots are a passing team, so it wouldn't shock me.

I think that happened on the possession before we tied it.

The next Patriot possession was the Pollard INT.

Yeah, but it proves that they were still trying to win. If not, they would have pulled Brady and ran the ball. Just funny that Bellichick wasn't committed to one plan and kept wavering. Very impressive show of fortitude by our team.

I did not mean to say their players were not trying, but I meant that they did not play like they had an incentive to win, which they didn't. But again, this was brought up by someone saying that the team learned how to close games because they won this one. I am not convinced.
    LOL

Well lets just put our swords away momentarily. I'm pretty confident this will come up again when we finish 9-7 (of course no playoffs) beating the Colts in week 17 after they hand us the game with Curtis Painter out there.

They are pretty damn close to elite. We have a great scouting department, a coach our players would die for out there, and a great philosophy that we stick to. All we are missing is the hardware. If we didn't have to deal with the Colts twice, we would have been in the playoffs 2 out of the last three years. Now we are starting to figure out how to beat them. Then of course. Peyton Manning will be old and washed up being the reason we finally beat the Colts. I'm so sick of people degrading this team when they are obviously the best run team in Houston (minus Oliver Luck's Dynamo)

This makes no sense. What do the Colts matter when we can barely beat or even beat the Jaguar's and Titan's? I love the Texan's and all, but you cannot consider them "pretty damn close to elite" when they haven't been in the playoffs at all (and no, that's not only because we play the Colts twice a year). Also, as far as best run team in Houston, I only have to point to one thing that refutes that, extending Kubiak without any reason too.

Not many teams make playoffs in the NFL so that playoff teams are the elite teams. Texans were close to playoffs. Ergo, the Texans are close to elite.

by that logic, 20/32 teams in the NFL are elite or close to elite. That seems a bit much

    I'd agree with that.

You can be elite and miss the playoffs in the NFL...because you can miss a key player for 4 weeks...while in the NBA/MLB that is a short time, in the NFL that is a 1/4th of your season.

Texans have proved they can beat anyone, or that they can hang with every team they have played OUTSIDE of the Jets.

Previous years Texans were getting their butts kicked every sunday. Now they have several pro-bowlers and primetime games and are actually expected to win their division among some..

Would also like to add, who are the Elite teams in the AFC? The Colts....that's it.

The Patriots have regressed, and so have the Ravens and Steelers. The Jets are close but so are we.

Also I would consider the Chargers elite but it is sad that these guys can never win one playoff game

Other than those two teams, you are left with teams like the Jets/Texans/Dolphins/Bengals/Ravens/pats Steelers.

Texans definitely have a chance at being a Elite team this year, with the talent they have no reason not to.

we are talking about elite FRONT OFFICES. I would say the Colts and Pats have the elite front offices in the AFC followed by Pittsburgh (questionable moves lately) and Baltimore.

Yeah all of those teams have something in common with us. THEY ALL BUILT THROUGH THE DRAFT. How do you build through the draft? HAVING A GREAT FRONT OFFICE. We didn't make the playoffs, so that means we are failures. The Texans are better run than the Rockets. Les Alexander is just more inclined to spend the money more than Bob McNair. Bob spends it more wisely. There is no doubt that Daryl Morey is a better GM than Rick Smith, but how can you say the Texans aren't elite for not making the playoffs, when the Rockets were also the last team looking in. People also say Gary Kubiak's resigning was unjust. LOL He lead this team to its first winning record after being 5-9. A lot of couches would have mailed it in, but Gary didn't. The players especially would have mailed it in, but didn't because they love playing for their coach. Kub is a players' coach and thats what you want when molding a young team into and ELITE team on the field.

Whatever dude. When you wanna stop jocking Daryl Morey for finishing 9th after refuting the Texans for finishing 7th, let me know. We were missing our Franchise player in Yao Ming? OH WELL GET USE TO THAT! The progress we have made getting the Texans out of the cellar is irrefutable. Soon enough our Front Office being elite will also be.

If you want to drag Morey into this discussion you're going to lose.

For one the Talent that the Texans have is exceptional compared to the Rockets this season. You would say the Texans Underachieved while the the Rockets Overachieved.

Dissing Morey and saying the Texans FO is comparable is laughable.
