Hines Ward is still very much there, but he's their Kevin Walter. Solid hands, runs crisp routes, but never a threat to take you deep. Now they're gonna have to rely a whole lot on Wallace, and Miller to get them their deep yards.

I'd give him a shot, he was among the best in the league in his prime, has superbowl experience, lots of playoff experience, he could help out the young guys. I doubt he would cost much

You can't sign a player who is under contract with another team

Reports are coming out saying he is expected to retire.

On the other side of 30 with neck problems... probably a good idea.

a liability, maybe, but not a complete joke. It's not like we have the 3 stooges back there....the 3 amigos, maybe, but at least they get the job done at the end of the movie.

Eh, I'll admit that was just piling on.

The Texans secondary, for all its warts, did a good job last year.

The yards per attempt and opponent's passer rating were fairly low.

The touchdowns given up and completion percentage were too high, though.

The defense as a whole was very underrated.

I'm standing by my prediction of 10+ wins and a playoff berth.

This team is only getting better with Rick Smith and Kubiak running the show.

Don Banks @ SI has Earl Thomas falling to the Texans at 20. It's due to a fallout from the Denver trade today...

I would love for that draft to play out but I can't see a couple things happening:

    1. I don't see Jax taking Spiller, while they could use a RB to help out MJD, they have much bigger needs than to take one at #10. Unfortunately, I won't be surprised if ET is their guy.

    2. While they are in desperate need of a WR, I wonder if McDaniels is willing to pull the trigger on a WR with character issues after just getting rid of one. I think McClain would be the better/safer pick for them.

    3. Clausen to S.F.? I think Singletary would be too intrigued with Bryant to pass him up if available and he'd be the guy to whip Dez into shape if need be. But if not, there are too many good OLs available to pass on twice IMO.
