WOW. Those first few comments on the espn page pretty much summed up my reaction.

Dude has been a pain in the ass for the Steelers (off the field problems). But so much talent.

Hopefully Mark Sanchez still has the inability to effectively pass the ball.

That trade makes no sense to me. The Steelers look like idiots

They are set at EVERY position for a Super Bowl run except he's the only Wild Card. He's our hope for implosion

Judging players-for-picks trade isn't that simple. I know the prevalent opinion goes along the line of "there's no way you get a Santonio Holmes in the 5th round" thinking. But in a world where the salary cap is hard, and especially with a notoriously cheap team, it's not always about talent vs talent.

That said, I really hope the Texans are trying to get in on the player-for-picks deals. With no potential accelerated Signing bonus snaffu that usually prevents NFL trades, I'm sure many overpaid players can be had for mid-round picks.

Santonio Holmes was the Steelers #1 receiver and superbowl MVP, regardless of their thinking, the trade was moronic

Mike Wallace and Heath Miller are all they have now. I can't think right now, but I'm sure they're in the bottom half, if not bottom third of the league as far as receiving corps now.

Hines Ward should retire... seems like every year that guy is involved in at least 1-2 total trainwreck hits that would kill a normal human being.
