Great pickup...we will win 2 more games now than if we kept Brown. (I dont see how Brown will beat out Rackers)
http://www.movethesticks.com/ Here is the 2nd official MTS Mock Draft. I made a lot of changes from the first version but I still have a few big name players sliding completely out of the 1st round. I have two very talented but injured players sneaking into the latter part of the opening round (Gronkowski and Thomas). I tried to match up need in some instances while paying attention to best available players in some spots as well. Have at it!! STL- S. Bradford QB Oklahoma- Seems like a foregone conclusion DET- N. Suh DT Nebraska- Should dominate early in his NFL career TB- G. McCoy DT Oklahoma- A disruptive force that’s needed in TB WAS- R. Okung OT Oklahoma St- Made sense before McNabb, no brainer now KC- B. Bulaga OT Iowa- A reach in my opinion but fits the profile they are after in KC SEA- E. Berry FS Tennessee- Monte Kiffin loves Eric Berry, Pete Carroll loves Monte Kiffin CLE- J. Haden CB Florida- This would give the Browns 2 young stud CB’s to go with a solid vet in Sheldon Brown OAK- J. Pierre-Paul DE South Florida- Talented Pass rusher to help chase Philip Rivers around BUF- T. Williams OT Oklahoma- One of the big risers in the draft lands where he is desperately needed JAX- C. Spiller RB Clemson- This pick would turn JAX into Panthers South DEN- E. Thomas FS Texas- McDaniels comes from a background where ball skills are worshipped MIA- D. Williams NT Tennessee- Perfect NT for the Dolphins SF- R. McClain LB Alabama- Singletary will love the leadership pitch from Saban SEA- D. Bryant WR Oklahoma St- In Alex Gibbs we trust, SEA addresses the OL outside the 1st round NYG- D. Morgan DE Georgia Tech- This team knows you can’t have too many pass rushers TEN- B. Graham DE Michigan- If Graham lands here, he would be my pick for DROY SF- C. Brown OT USC- A lot of teams are high on Brown, he fills a big need for SF PIT- M. Iupati OG Idaho- Need to get the run game going and this is a big-time mauler ATL- M. Pouncey OC Florida- Why not draft a stud center to keep Matt Ryan safe for the next 10 yrs HOU- K. Jackson CB Alabama- A very talented, polished CB that should start day 1 in HOU CIN- J. Gresham TE Oklahoma- Finally, the Bengals get an elite TE for Carson Palmer NE- R. Mathews RB Fresno St- They have a lot of bodies at RB but not a single stud, enter Mathews GB- K. Wilson CB Boise St- Watching the arial circus against AZ makes this a logical move PHI- D. McCourty CB Rutgers- They can address LB in the later rounds, don’t want to miss the run on CB’s BAL- R. Gronkowski TE Arizona- If he can pass a physical with his back issues, this is a beast of a TE AZ- J. Hughes OLB TCU- They need some fresh legs outside and Hughes has 10+ sack potential DAL- A. Davis OT Rutgers- Big, talented OT to replace Flozell SD- J. Odrick DE Penn State- The Jets exposed a leaky front in SD and Odrick will help plug it up NYJ- D. Thomas WR Georgia Tech- Jets aren’t afraid to go for it, this is a WR with HUGE upside MIN- J. Best RB Cal- Peterson is a monster but Childress can use Best in similar way he used Westbrook IND- R. Saffold OT Indiana- Surprise 1st round pick, Polian went public with his distaste of the OL NO- S. Weatherspoon LB Missouri- Excellent postseason for Weatherspoon, he fits N.O. defense perfectly
Not sure why that mock has us taking Jackson, he's considered a late 2nd to 3rd round pick and consistently ranked as the 5th ranked CB behind Haden, Wilson, McCourty, and Robinson. Also can't see Jax taking a RB when they have much bigger needs. A Spiller/MJD combo would be nasty but Earl Thomas would be a better pick for them (hopefully they don't pick him up for the Texans sake though). Interesting that he doesn't have Clausen going in the 1st, his stock is falling pretty hard.
Kinda glad to know Tebow will probably go early 2nd if not late 1st...gives the Texans one more option @ #51 because some scouting department is waaaayy over-valuing his skills.
the texans re-sign ryan moats, I dont like him, we supposed to upgrade the RB position no, staying with the same players. link: http://www.houstontexans.com/news/Story.asp?STORY_ID=6100
I like Moats. He's like a dart through the defense and falls forward most of the time. He's good when he's fresh. Nice 3rd option
Here are the dates the Texans will hold OTAs: May 17-20 May 24-27 June 1-3 June 8-10 Minicamp date will be announced later.
Moars is a servicable backup...and a known commodity. I don't know why you would have a problem with this.
Yeah, Jared Allen got into the MMA program with Glaizer last offseason too. I'm just glad to have a Bad man on our Defense. Pollard and Him make a hurting combo.
I'm afraid Brian is going to kill somebody on the field before this is all over. That boy is just inhuman.
while reading the article i starting thinking that this sounds like something demeco would do. This would particularly be valuable to Mario since he was to wresltle with lineman.
Thats prob. the same thing you said the first time you had sex. Basically what I'm trying to say or maybe you were still in your mommy's womb when this happened, was when Francis and Mobley was teammates they were bascially booty buddies. Example. I found it weird that DeMeco was at Cushing's press conference when he won the defensive rookie of the year award.
