reggie, it's just silly. telling people who they can or can't root for? come on. sounds like a junior high lunchroom conversation.

 

Thats not what i'm saying, you can root for whomever you want. And you can dislike whoever you want. But, acting like you are part of the rivalry is different from pulling for or against one team. It is deeper than that. IMO.

 

longhorn alum here. i used to hate the faggies but, there really isn't a rivalry any more. a&m sucks donkey balls. it's now like playing rice.

There are plenty of arguments in this thread without getting into a debate on rivalry.

It's the UT haters way. They can't argue anything on sports anymore since UT is so superior, they have to attack the fans that chose not to go to school there. It's hysterical.

 

I know. I've never heard one Aggie refer to UT or Austin in that sort of manner.

i know lots of people who went to UT who care far less about UT athletics than I do.

i grew up rooting for UT. my whole family is UT folks. i chose Baylor over UT for a variety of reasons, mostly involving a girl, when it came time for me to pick. but i never stopped rooting for the Horns...i grew up on it. the UT rivalries are in me as deep as anyone who took a 3 hour freshman English course there.

you know, i don't see why anyone would mind people rooting for their school. i don't care if people went to ut or not, so long as they didn't go to a&m, . i say the more the merrier. longhorn athletics are blossoming right now and some are jealous, it's that simple.

The QBs who have finished #3 the past few years have been collectively fairly successful in the NFL. One just won a Super Bowl.

Being a leader in passing efficiency doesn't mean that one will be a successful NFL quarterback, but to be a leader means you have to be a somewhat accurate passer, which is why people have been referencing this stat when people say VY has accuracy issues.
