[Official] Reggie Bush or Someone else -- Vince Young out of running

It wasn't a good throw, the result was good. Turning your whole body around and holding onto the ball between two defenders is a hell of a catch. Just keep conVINCING yourself that he is a good passer.

You questioned the source. Cutler is jumping the ultimate change the future of the position QB (Radio). I did not say anything about his stock dropping, it very well could be. I posted the article because I thought it was interesting especially the part where they say most of his college career means nothing in terms of the NFL.

 

We have always been there. He is a decent passer. Not quality nfl caliber. This is just my opinion. Please save yourself the time of showing me stats also. They mean nothing in college.

Ok I see it. If Cutler is not being talked about being picked ahead of Young and it seems the consensus is that Leinart is the best QB of the three then I would consider that slipping.

You can interpret it many different ways but the majority of people here are arguing that they want Vince with the #1 pick. If all you are arguing is that you think Young will be a good or even great NFL QB in your opinion then that's fine with me. I hope he turns out great. He's a Houston kid and I don't have anything against him so i wish him success in the nFL (unless he's drafted by the titans and then I hope he's an enormous bust). If the consensus is that Leinart is the best QB and now people are saying Cutler could move ahead of Young (when as soon as he declared and up until we renewed Carr's contract) many were talking about him going #1 overall. That's having your stock drop.

Unless it's a fan board you don't even hear about VY going 1 anymore it's more like Bush or trade down. People love to bring up the questions about Bush's size and durability but when someone posts an article questioning Young it has no credibility. That's my whole problem with this debate.

I honestly believe Desert Scar would pick Vince Young over Jesus Christ if he had the choice. He would question Jesus's durability or something.

 

It is a waste of your time. I have the right to my opinion as you do. I just don't think Young will be a great player. He may have some exciting plays. His consistency will be awful, especially early

 

I responded earlier to a post by Kas saying that VY's stock was falling, you replied with an article. I assumed that it mentioned something about that.

But of course the same doesn't apply to Bush right?

BTW, I'd rather have a star player that looks like Radio (according to you) than a former A&M QB that will be working at Radio Shack.

 

one last question, though. do reggie bush's college yards mean nothing? the fact that he was such a good all-purpose back, which was quantified in rushing and passing numbers...does that mean anything? or is the special rule only for VY?

Reggie mcneal will be picked in the top three rounds (if that is who you were referring to). He was called the best prospect in the draft by one NFL analyst on the NFL network.

 

Jay Williams was the guaranteed #1 pick of the 2002 draft, then Yao Ming came along and he became the #1 pick. Would you say that Jay Williams' stock was falling or Yao's was rising?

There has been a lot of talk about Cutler, he's really turned some head. But do you really think he'll be selected before VY?

 

This has nothing to do with Bush. I am talking about Young. You can't just argue my points with "but reggie this" or when i talk about bush "but vince this". Respond to the player. But yes bush will not average 9 yards a carry in the nfl, nobody cares about that. They see his playmaking abilities.

NO on cutler! Young's stock is slipping on the bbs, he was never considered a #1 pick anywhere else.

stats are nothing more than a measure of performance. VY performed.

Hawk is a terrible example. It mainly applies to skill position players. And stats can't be completely thrown out, they get your attention. You then study game film and look at their abilities.

 

google "take vince young 1st" and read article after article to show that what you're saying is not true.
