It's a running joke. I haven't heard it much anymore but I just thought I'd throw it out there.

kind of mean spirited, imo. I'm guessing it originated from an A$M fan?

Capital One College Football All-Star Challenge.

Anyone watching this? VY just came in 2nd behind Drew Olson on the Accuracy challenge. There defenitely is zip on his arm. He left some dents on the cardboard recievers. Didn't miss 2 badly like Charlie Whitehurst.

Is your name supposed to be "Pericles", the Greek leader?

It was supposed to be, but someone was already using it when i was signing up for an email account in the late 90's. So I added a "c". As for the orgins, I was doing a book report on Pericles by Shakespeare for HS english the day my family got "wired in". I guess it left an impression on me.

Didn't see it, but I read that he didn't exactly embarass himself.

I saw it. There were 4 quarterbacks in it. The only one that looked impressive was Drew Olsen. He had 200 points but got docked 60 points for having his toe across the line. Whitehurst looked horrible, couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. VY probably threw the ball the hardest, had a lot of zip on it, but not all that accurate, none of them looked very accurate, they said there was a lot of wind involved so that probably had something to do with it.

I read that Vince the two that went out of bounds were further than Croyle's throw.

You obviously didn't see it if you're saying his throws weren't accurate. He nailed the 60 point target dead on. If the ball goes an inch further on the 80 yard target, he ties Olson.

Also, I fall slightly on the VY side of these arguments, but it was just a qb competition. No big deal, imo. However, that first throw looked tough to make.

I said none of their throws were really accurate. He missed the 80 by quite a bit as they all did. 1 inch?

You do know they had to hit the small red dot to get their points? They only get 10 points for hitting the targed outside the red dot. None of the Qbs were really all that accurate, but VY definitely had the most zip on his throws. I was impressed with that.

Plus, this wasn't the combine, I wouldn't put much into what happened here, they were all just having fun and the wind was whipping.

I've seen nfl guys not do so well in these as well. Doubt they take it seriously either.
