They were amazing highlights (but lets not get too carried away, it is a highlight video) I could make one of all his turnovers, sacks and bad decisions. We don't need to see this to realize he was an amazing player.

If Reggie Bush didn't push Leinart into the endzone vs. ND, we wouldn't be having this discussion either. What's your point?

Sure you could, and you could do the same for any college QB who got significant PT, from Matt Leinart to Joe Montana to Sammy Baugh.

However, not one of them would have a highlight video like that, save Michael Vick, and even his wouldn't be as long. That's the point.

....which is why you find yourself on the same side of a CFB related argument as FattyFatBastard, which is like being a French proponent of the Maginot line in 1939 - you're a bit overmatched, as history has shown us.

What don't you get? Fatty is basically saying if we didn't win that game, things would have changed so much that we wouldn't be discussing VY vs. Bush. I'm saying if USC didn't win that game, we probably wouldn't be discussing it either.

Point is that Texas won that game and we are having this discussion, no point bringing a "what if" from 1 1/2 years ago.

The 4th and 18 where he ran the ball was the season before this past season (Fall 2004). Even he didn't make it we would still be having this discussion. ;)

I am in no argument, I was just pointing out that it was a highlight video. We could do some impressive ones of all sorts of athletes. Bush has some nice ones too

Both are meaningless in draft position, especially the kansas game

That was kinda my point. But just for kicks, I think a USC lost this season would have had a much bigger impact on the draft than if we lost to KA.

Maybe so, but this time the Maginot line runs all the way across. It's more like a Chinese Wall.

And once again, your side will lose to a guy named Bush.

    That's gotta sting, huh?

I'm a huge Raider fan, and Vince and Texas beat us this year. It still doesn't change the fact that taking Vince is like hitting a "reset" button. Bush is the better choice.

Actually, I don't know about misassignment, but Nick Reid had a clear shot to tackle VY before he got the first down. IN fact, Reid whiffed twice on VY. Vince juked him.

What's funny is that when Vince ran, Dave Lapham said "oh game over. No way." WE know what happened.

Not as much as it stings when you realize that the Mongols and Manchus rolled right on through the Great Wall repeatedly throughout the centuries....

Um, not really. It's more like the Texans organization has shut the whole thing down and they'll be turning it back on once Denver loses.

It amazes me how many people don't realize that the Texans absolutely blow. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. We blow.

I just watched the video 3 times, and I'd have to respectfully disagree, yea Reggie is fast, yea he can make people miss, but I didn't see him get many yards after contact (and I don't mean a few slaps on the hip or back, I mean really breaking tackles or being able to grind out another 1-3 yards after being wrapped up). Of course he can take off and make people miss in the open field, but he's not going to see much of that on the NFL level. I wonder what his avg. yards after contact is? I'll see if I can I find it.

One of the biggest pluses for VY is his leadership and size. 6'5" 235lb QBs with great leadership qualities don't come around every year. Reggie seems like a nice guy, but a leader? Not likely. VY can be the heart and soul of a team sort of like Brett Farve 5 years ago. VY's also very charismatic and I feel like he can really win the media over. He may turn out like Shaq, where when he says something ppl want to know what he said.
