God I hope we get Mario and not Bush. Bush is definitely the sexier pick, but I really believe Mario is more of a sure thing. This team needs as many "sure things" as possible.

I wouldn't completely call Mario a sure thing. A scout/ex coach was on 610am this morning and said that Mario is being drafted on freakish athletic ability and a few great games. For most of the year he disappeared in games. He has better talent then Julius Peppers, but Peppers played better in college.

That's a pretty good assessment of Williams. He's so big and fast that it seems almost impossible that he won't be a star at the next level. The concern is that he started off so slowly then came on like a monster. His work ethic seems to be good so one of the biggest questions people had about him was motivation. However, when he met with Texans officials he erased those doubts. All that being said, Bush is still going #1.

there have been a couple (maybe more that i've missed) of posters on here who have claimed that they will no longer be a Texan fan if the Texans do NOT draft Vince Young. i sure wish i kept a log of it. would any of you care to step up now so we can make sure you'll keep your word?

Once we re-signed Carr, were they ever alive? I mean, seriously.

Real mature Baqui99 with the pic. You don't like a certain player because your favorite team played his team in the Rose Bowl. Nice.

I'm trying to be a Texans fan but they keep making it harder and harder to be. They will definitely lose a large central texas fan base after this. Very annoying. Trade the pick if you don't take bush. Why would you even say you aren't going to pick a QB with the first pick? I hope thats part of their strategy of leaking information, if not Casserlys a bigger moron than I thought

Honestly, those types of people were never Texans fans to begin with. I've always been in favor of picking bush but had we decided to draft VY I wouldn't have stopped rooting for the Texans. I wish Young the best in the NFL, I don't know why anyone would dislike either guy like that. I don't understand some people's hate for Bush or Young, it makes no sense.

    Uh no!

Who said I wasn't going to follow the Texans? I also follow the Aggies, Cowboys, ND, OU, etc. It doesn't mean I'm a fan. I watch to root against them.

After I vent today, I will leave Texans fans alone but I will laugh at their miseries. I promise not to troll.

wow, so alot of "fans" are willing to throw away their allegiance to their team just b/c of a draft pick? it's one thing to criticize it. it's another to totally disengage yourself from the team b/c of it. i say, good riddance to all of you.

Come on dude, that's so immature it's not funny. All you're doing is opening this thread back up to all the people who are going to. retaliate by posting up those pictures of Vince. Then, the people who want ot discuss the draft have to go through 2 pages of bs.

Yeah, 'cause Central Texas isn't 90+% Cowboy fans or anything.

I think that it is pretty indicative of who they are taking when they are actively negotiating with one guy's agents and the other player's agent hasn't even sent over a counter-proposal despite the Texans' desire to sign their pick before the draft.

As for losing fans, if the Texans start winning and going to the playoffs, they won't have any problem attracting fans. This is a region of nearly 5 million people. I seriously doubt they will have any trouble filling Reliant or selling jerseys.
