I totally agree, and had not seen someone so dominant on the college scene before or after, until Vince Young.

Vince is a freak at the QB position, Bo was a freak at the RB position.

They just don't come along all that often, maybe once in 20 years, and the Texans are gonna pass on him....wow !!

Don't get me wrong, Bush is fast, but he is not dominant, just fast, always ran outside....is a multipurpose back, but just not dominant.

    Bo and Vince were dominant.

Agreed. Bo was the most physically dominating runner to ever lace them up. The greatest combination of speed and strength in a runner, bar none. If he hadn't gotten hurt and played NFL football from the get go, he would have obliterated all the rushing records.

Bo Jackson and dare I say, John Elway. The 2 greatest players to come out of college until Vince.

If you want to say that Bo was the most gifted when it came to the combo of speed and power, I can't argue. If you say "physically dominating," here are two guys that have something to say about that...

Bo's power was very close to both of those guys and his speed leaves them in the dust. Did you ever see him play? He literally walked away from defensive backs.

Both of those guys were great backs. I personally saw Earl run and it was like a train going downhill. But give him and Bo a football, blow a whistle, and Bo will be crossing the endzone while Earl was still at the 20.

Yes, I saw him play... and while he "walked" away from folks, Jim and Earl would run over defensive backs and linebackers... all-pros, not some draft bust from Oklahoma. Look, I think there's little argument here... You're saying Bo's fast and I agree. You're saying he's powerful and I agree. All I'm saying is there are at least two other RB's in the history of the league that were more physical.

LenDale "pudge" White has thrown his 2 cents into the VY debate. I'll just post the relevant quotes.

    http://www.denverpost.com/broncos/ci_3739753

    Ringing endorsement

That one player is Vince Young.

Reggie Bush? A running back cannot carry a franchise. See the combined win-loss records (119-136-3) and playoff victories (one) of Barry Sanders and Gale Sayers.

For those who don't believe Young can make such a difference, listen to running back LenDale White, Leinart's teammate at Southern California. White probably would have been the MVP of the college championship game in January had Young not taken the honor away for Texas.

"I would never trade away the three years I had with Matt as my quarterback," White said. "But if I was an NFL team, I don't know how you could not take Vince Young. A quarterback's job is to control the game. When a guy throws for 260 and runs for 200 in the biggest game of the year, he doesn't just control a game, he shows he can completely take it over.

"Nothing against Matt, but Vince has to be the No. 1 guy."

Bo is without a doubt the greatest athlete that I've ever seen. Could outrun defensive backs and knock over linebackers. We were robbed of seeing him finish out his career. Could have been a 40/40 guy in baseball. Would have been among the best running backs to have ever played.

the superhuman throw from outfield is STILL the greatest baseball play i've ever seen.

    Ah what does he know?

He is only a FB player, why listen to him or Marcus Allen, or Anthony Munoz, or Don Shula or.....well you get my point.

How about his at bats against Nolan Ryan? Ryan throwing it as hard as he could throw and Bo swinging it as hard as he could swing. Legendary.

it would be interesting to see what football players thought of vy and this subject. I remember when ohio st beat nd in the fiesta bowl at the end of the game they had tressel and troy smith (o.s.u. qb) talking to saunders and craig james and they asked what they thought about the rose bowl.

Tressel gave the usual coach response but smith was like I'm going for texas, he said he was a fan of vince. we're talking about the guy who dashed their championship hopes and he said he was a fan. same thing with white, he is talking about the guy who prevented them from winning another championship.

i know the athletes don't get paid to scout but its interesting to see what they think about individual players.

Ronnie Lott was at the Rose Bowl and his comments were something along the lines of Vince Young is ready to star in the NFL right now. He said he had never seen anyone like him and that he would definitely be a superstar player in the NFL.

I know there was a lot of hype that night, but I don't see Lott making that strong of an endorsement unless he really felt good about how well the kid could do at the next level.

Jeez guys. Put away the razor blades.

The franchise could be on it's way to bigger and better things.
