Vince Young was on Jay Leno after the rose bowl game because he's a UT grad and you can only get his signal in homes of UT fans.

the fact is vince young is the hottest athlete in america right now, and any other city with a pro team would be engaged in this same debate if its team had the number one pick.

you guys who think only ut fans were dazzeled by Vince's performance need to get out more.

It is " aggie" genius, he is faster and a much better passer than Lord. Go back to 2004 when he was the best QB in the Big 12. This Year he was missing all of his weapons and was very poorly coached. If you don't think he will be good fine, but comparing him to Lord is just dumb. He runs a below 4.3 40 and has a great arm. He will be gone by round 3

I was hoping that Vince would go back to school.

Now half this city is torn on the local hero and we're never going to hear the end of it.

I can't say how excited I am at the possibility of getting Kubiak and Bush. An offensive coordinator that has proven himself in developing the offensive line. Something we have desperately needed for some time. And getting a rare talent such as Bush.

I am also excited if Vince could go to the Titans, so we could kick his butt 2 times a year.

While there might be debate, it would at least have half a chance of being a legitimate unbiased discussion.

Obviously there are people who really do feel that Vince would be the best pick and that's fine. But because he's a local hero and because he went to UT and because he is a great player, alot of people around here lift him up to such unreachable heights that to consider anybody else isn't even an option and is even a downright insult. The way people are acting you would think that they'd pick VY even if Jim Brown/John Elway/(insert player here) were in the draft.

Bush got overhyped all season and the media would have you think that he's better than he is. And now it's VY's turn. The hype around him right now is at its zenith and now people thing he's the second coming of Jesus Christ. If anybody believes all the hype surrounding these two players then they are most probably going to be dissapointed. The hype is so great for both of them is so great that it will be near impossible for either of them to completely live up to the expectations that have been set for them.

As I mentioned earlier, nobody here knows anything least of all which one will have the most success in the NFL.

reggie does have elite speed and a good arm. his lack of size and durability will be a huge hinderance at the qb position. i dont think he gets drafted as a QB.

    Besides Barrick Nealy is better.

    6'5" 230 lbs; 2,875 yards passing, 1,057 yards rushing, 34 totat TD's

I mean, as long as we're hyping our own schools :D

Nealy will be the steal of the draft ~ if we took Bush and Nealy I would be content.

What time is it? 5:20? OK, I hope we take Young.

OK, it's now 5:35. I think we should take Bush.

What happened when UT tried to help Vince with his passing? Didn't he regress? Mack Brown backed off and let him play the way he felt comfortable playing the game. It just happened to work for UT. That doesn't mean it'll work in the NFL.

Some might prefer Vince and his side-armed passing and ability to run down field. Running gets qb's injured in the NFL and side-armed passes get deflected. At 6'5 he might have time to correct it. He might. He might not.

I think Bush makes an immediate impact.

When I think Reggie Bush, I see Steve Smith at WR and KR, and a slightly poorer version of Ladanian Tomlinson at HB.

When I think Vince Young, I see a guy with a lot of fight, but also a guy who is a big risk and will need at least 2 years before even being considered a legitimate passer in the NFL. And in the NFL, those defensive players are bigger, faster, and hit harder than they do in college.

With #1, you better go with the sure thing. Both of these guys may be great, but Bush is much more of a sure thing at this point.

All the signs are pointing to the Obvious. This must be why Bush took so long to declare. Can't wait for next season, should be fun to watch.

I love it. Jason White only won the Maxwell, Johnny Unitas, and Davey O'Brien awards in the 2004 season. White led his team to the national championship game, and Vince Young led his team to a Rose Bowl victory. Both teams were ranked top 5. Meanwhile, McNeal leads his team to an inspiring 7-5, including a Cotton Bowl blowout.

Ah, the beauty of the world. Defending a Sooner against an Aggie.

He didn't have a "best QB in the Big12" season that's for sure.

I'm not going to jump into this UT vs. AM thing, let's face it, we're not going to change each others mind.

But you said Reggie had a
when it was quite obvious that both White and Young had better season.

If you're not talking about stats, what are you talking about? Wins? Personality?
