The story about VY that ended up being false, you mean?

Not many people, other than conspiracy nuts and Aggies/Longhorn haters, believe VY scored a valid score of 6 on his first test. It's known he scored a 6... and it's also known that it's completely irrelevant because it was graded and/or administered incorrectly.

Profootballtalk.com first broke he scored a 6 and they also reported that the test was graded incorrectly. That much we know they are right on.

Yeah, I bet Capers thought he would be able to keep his job if he coached the Texans to the worst record in league too.

They've also stated several different times that he really did score a 6, even though every single credible source (Casserly, Floyd Reese, NFL officials, etc.) has said otherwise. It basically makes them sound like Aggies in denial. That combined with the daily photo illustrations they've run lately make them a very suspicious organization to say the least.

Yeah, that article smacks of them trying to cover up their embarassment of reporting bad info. I'm not going to worry anymore about the Wonderlic crap. There is no one single good source of reliable information. The combine people never seemed to bother making an official release or report on what all went down, so I don't trust anything I read on it anymore.

I don't believe this for one second. I just don't see a NFL GM leaking a confidential test score to take a little pressure off himself, if they did, they have no right being a GM (judging by CC's draft history with the Texans, he doesn't deserve to be a GM anyways).

There are many different of ways to deal with something like this.

Well, maybe thats true in Texas....but out here in the other 49 states its a given that the Texans are drafting Bush #1 or trading down, and that VY is a great athlete but maybe not the sharpest tool in the shed....but in 2-3 years could be a great QB. No one I work with is an Aggie or Longhorn hater. I'm not sure they know what an Aggie is.

No one outside of Texas thinks the Texans are even considering VY, nor do they think its an option.

However, this thread is really funny so please continue.

This is what i've been saying since page 1 of this Epic and it was officially put to rest when they re-signed Carr. Yet the thread continues. lol. Go figure.

No one outside of Texas thought UT would beat USC either.

Anyone who thinks they know what the Texans are going to do, unless you're connected to the organization, doesn't know anything more than anyone else. I suspect they are looking at Bush or trading down, but I have no more idea than anyone else who claims they know anything.

I've wanted Vince from the beginning. I've always thought they had a chance of drafting him. And I always wanted and expected them to exercise the three-year option on Carr. To do otherwise would greatly lessen his trade value because it would be admitting something was wrong. We may or may not draft Vince, but Carr's re-signing means absolutely nothing. They would've done that regardless of their plans. It's just the smartest business decision.

Texas A&M has zero rep nationwide, which is what makes Aggies taking themselves so seriously funny.

Anyway, I can say that a lot of people in the other 49 don't really give a sh-t about the Texans or who they draft to even form an opinion - and nor will I probably after a while.

Young calls Wonderlic reports 'disrespectful'ESPN.com news services

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. -- For nearly a week, University of Texas quarterback Vince Young has had his intelligence discussed, dissected and demeaned in the wake of reported Wonderlic test scores at the NFL scouting combine.

    Young

Young, who was honored Friday at the 69th annual Maxwell Award ceremonies, would not answer specific questions about the Wonderlic test but did acknowledge how upsetting the reports have been.

"It hurts a little bit, and I think it's very disrespectful. But it's cool, it's cool," Young said. "I know what I can do, and I'm going to continue doing what I'm doing."

Young's agent, Major Adams, brushed off criticism of Young, saying some of it was expected.

"People are going to try to bring him down between the Rose Bowl and the draft day," Adams said. "They will try to take shots at him, and he hasn't done anything wrong, so we just take it with a grain of salt."

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound Young led Texas to a 41-38 Rose Bowl victory over USC in college football's national championship game. He could be a potential No. 1 overall pick by the Houston Texans in next month's NFL draft.

"A rumor is a rumor to me, it's just like high school, they say you kissed some girl, but you really didn't, so that's how I feel about it," said Young, referring to the reported Wonderlic test scores.

Young has kept his sense of humor, and relied on advice from players like Steve McNair, who also faced his share of doubters coming out of college. He's also gotten the support of reigning NFL MVP Shaun Alexander, a fellow honoree at Friday's Maxwell Awards.

"Tests are tests to me," Alexander said. "The key thing with any football player is, what can he do when he gets on the field."

Scouting directors around the league have emphasized the Wonderlic is just a small part of their overall evaluation of Young, and are giving him plenty of tests of their own.

"I don't really care about the criticism, because I'm pretty much used to it," young said. "There's always something about Vince. ... I feel like I've overcome all of that, turned out pretty good, so I want to continue to do that in the NFL as well."

Information from ESPN reporter Rachel Nichols and The Associated Press was used in this report.

Then he forgot to use his emoticon to imply a veiled meaning that can otherwise only be understood by hearing the inflection in his voice.

Or it is just blather and bravado.

Until the ink is dry the dream lives on.

edit, had to add my emoticon.

Well it took me 9 months to read 115 pages of this thread, and the only thing I can conclude from all of this is that Vince Bush is a better prospect than Reggie Young.

    Go Texans!
