    The real test.

Question - If your team is in the white jerseys, and you drop back to pass do you throw it to:

    a. The team in the other colored jersey
    b. The guy in the stripped jersey
    c. The guy in the white jersey covered like a blanket
    d. no one, you just take off and run like the friggen wind !

Now THAT is what is really important.

It's too bad he didn't have enough time to make it to this question. ;)

The funny thing is that I completely ACE these kinds of tests, just hammer em out of the park but I could not play QB in the NFL.

And vice versa, I don't think the tests matter one bit.

IMHO, it is quick thinking that matters the most, decision making under pressure, not test questions.

Football is an easy game when broken down, the team that makes the fewest mistakes and plays more soundly generally wins.

And, Vince is a winner, as is Leinert.

Thanks a lot bro. These are the types of fans I respect and enjoy talking to. Even though you are pro Young for the Texans (I like Vince but just not in Houston) you were still man enough to come to the boards and tell the truth. I had to take iit when UT beat uSC. It's a really mature way of handling things.

Where is SamFisher on this one. You completely blasted me and took cheap shots all day long. Are you going to be a man and apologize with class?

that's because you are a big p***y. i, on the other hand, would have no problem harnassing my brilliant mind to unleash my unlimited weapons of mass destruction on whichever punkass nfl team dared to stand in my way. however, i've chosen a life of leisure. i prefer to laze around, being waited on hand and foot by an army of servants, all of whom are beautiful women.

It's not about "having something on him." Why can't you get that ? I DON'T HATE VINCE YOUNG!!!!! I HAVE NOTHING AGAINST HIM AND HOPE HE TURNS OUT TO BE A GREAT QB!!!! I guess that's the only way I can get my point across.

I think Carr can really thrive if we get the right team around him. I don't think he sucks like some. I think if given the chance he can be a good if not great QB. I just don't think VY is what the Texans need to get to the playoffs. Many argue Bush isn't either and that's fine. The problem that we have on these boards is that people naturally assume that anyone who doesn't want Vince as a Texan or is concerned about the flaws in his game is a hater. That's not true.

i understand and it wasn't a rant. I've been a part of this thread for it's duration and while there is some hating on Vince it seems to me that the majority of people who are considered "Vince haters" are just people who don't think he's a good fit here. What normally ends up happening is that these people get ina debate, it leads to childish name calling and insults and then things get out of hand. I'll be the first to admit that there have been a few instances where i have pareticipated in this to. I was just making a point.

Vince Young is the type of prospect you want to see in every sport at the top of a draft. He improved every year. He's already a tremendous player and he will probably continue to improve. so he has upside.

and he's a competitor. he has all the intangibles. rarely do you see a guy like this in any sport. I understand the doubts about how his game will translate, but he has a proven track record of learning.

but its bothersome that two particular posters wouldn't even respond after the USC game so now he gets a low score on a test that has never proven to have any correlation to success at any position and they are back again.

I don't disagree with any of this post. I am satisified with Carr for the moment. I don't think any QB could have had success with the play calling and o-line we had (plus the coaching). Let's remember the 7-9 season (which could have easily been 9-7 where Andre got to the Pro Bowl. It was carr getting him the ball. Last season our line sucked and so did our defense. Johnson was hurt the majority of the year. I don't think Carr had a chance to improve on what was a good year for him.

DD is way too injury prone and I think he always will be. That's why my position is to take Bush if we keep the top pick. I'm ok with trading down if we get enough value and add D-Brick, or Mario Williams. See, I still see RB as a position we need to upgrade. RB's already have a short shelf life and ours is hurt every year. The same things that are said about Young are the same things you say about Bush (positive)

Then ignore them. If they weren't willing to admit they were wrong about the USC game or made comments and then didn't eat their crow then you probably shouldn't debate with them. That's a personal decision.

Actually, he doesn't. He shares the opposite opinion of me. You illustrate my exact point with this post.

Actually you don't have an exact point -- your point meanders to and fro so you can throw little barbs at everyone and cause a big hullabaloo. This of course is in addition to calling people idiots and assholes etc.

This is simple. We have a quarterback. Now we need other players.

    BUSH.
