Like I said before the score is bad but it can be dealt with. Someone can teach him the playbook. Its will he be able to make NFL throws. We already knew he was not an intelligent type QB.

Not to start another argument, but what are your reasons for inferring that he is not an intelligent type QB? (Looking ugly and talking funny isn't a reason either :p ).

    Ok, this seriously irks me.

Why were the VY wonderlic test threads locked?

There's still reports coming in about it.. the circumstances all seem fishy.

McClain, of course, immediately jumped to his defense with a chron article, anybody could have seen that coming..

there's still a lot of questions surrounding it.. why, if his first score was an "error", did they not just publish his "correct" score instead of retaking the test? And also, how is it possible to screw up the score of a test that simplistic, let alone screw it up that badly.. AND leak the info prematurely.. that's a big pill to swallow.

I'm not one to complain about the moderation of the board, as it is frankly none of my damn business and I don't work on keepin this place running, but locking up the only "bad news" VY thread that has popped up since the Rose Bowl while letting literally a hundred other pointless VY hype threads flow freely seems a bit unfair. I don't know who locked it up, but in the spirit of fairness, please consider unlocking.

Yeah, starting a thread in the college basketball forum = you're objective

"The only debate left"? I have a feeling most debates never die with you from a certain angle . . . after all you're the same person who tried to revive the "Reggie McNeal > Vince Young" line about 60 pages back in this thread - in 2006.

    From ESPN Insider.

Like I said Weegie McMeal is going to be great on special teams. Provided his ankles don't give out.

Edit: Maybe one day even "Jerome Mathis" great.

It's part of the Longhorn conspiracy (alum and t-shirt fans, alike) to take over all forms of media. We've started with John McLain and Rich Lord and are now moving onto the BBS.

That, or the one of the wonderlick threads was a bunch of people calling VY r****ded and people making personal attacks (me included) and there was no reason to believe the second one wasn't going to go there as well.

Heckle all you want, but the fact remains..

10,000 positive VY threads to date.. all untouched.

2 negative VY threads.. both on lockdown.

But then again, I wouldn't expect you to notice the lopsidedness.. I mean, does a fish know he is wet?

And as for personal attacks and namecalling, surfing the other VY threads you'll see basically more of the same.. just because someone calls VY a tard we had to shut'er down eh? I didn't know VY's mom reads this board. We can't have Vince getting his feelings hurt by a bunch of internet BBS warriors, now can we?

Excuse me while I put on my tinfoil helmet.

I personally find it hard to believe that Vince Young's test was graded incorrectly and then leaked. I mean, we are talking about Vince young here. How come Leinart and Cutler's don't have any discrepincies?

My personal opinion is that it's none of our business what these guys score on an IQ test. That test is for NFL teams to evaluate draft picks and it's publicly humiliating to guys like Vince who score low and have it leaked into the public. For the people who are on this side of the fence, I agree with you.

My personal opinion is that Young really did score a 6 on the first attempt (without any scoring errors or mistakes), but since it was leaked to the public inappropriately they let him retake it and he scored the 16. It was in the news and all over the radio so I have a hard time believing that in a city were he is considered a God reputable sources are reporting it. I think they know they screwed up big time by leaking his score and have to go to extra lengths to fix it or I'm pretty sure Young will be adding to his millions by suing them immediately (and it would be one hell of a large lawsuit too, jeopordizing his draft status, defamation of character, message board ridicule :D , ect.)

The reason that thread was locked was because of a reference to politics, not because of the subject of the thread. You might be better off actually reading the threads before you start the whole burnt orange conspiracy talk.

Overstate much? A quick scan of the first three pages of this forum shows two unlocked threads with Vince's name in the title...one is blasting his performance in the all-star challenge.

Yeah, just like you did here.

I don't necessarily agree with shutting them down, but calling it a conspiracy among Clutch and/or Castor27 is absurd.

One got locked for redundancy as it was posted within minutes of the other, which turned into a flamefest so the Big Man locked it down.

It's been reported that everyone had their tests graded wrong, not just Vince Young. I'm sure Leinart and Cutler didn't score as low on the original misgrade, thus their scores did not attract enough attention as a possible 6. Any of you who still believe Young scored a 6 seem to have a bit of an agenda.

Don't act like hyperbole is something you've never seen on the BBS..

First three pages eh? Goodie. I specifically said since the Rose Bowl..

LOL. RM, please don't act like that was a personal attack. Oh well, another personal attack, might as well lock this thread down!

    Come on dude, lighten up..

I'll use a quote from you here..

Just because I don't think it isn't fair to shut both of those threads down doesn't mean I think Castor/Clutch are part of a frickin' conspiracy.. fairness first. If it were a conspiracy, I would be banned already and those threads would be deleted. :D

Actually I did read them, I didn't notice any unusually inflammatory reference to politics.

Besides, that happens quite a bit..

If you heard it on TV, it has to be true. Don't forget to include the National Football League in your conspiracy.

Didn't you jsut say you wanted this thread locked?

Anyway, support your scurrilous accusation - or are you going to come up short again? I didn't post in either of the threads that you refer to as "locked".

    edit:Oh, and I forgot

    GO BRUINS

OK man, can we please lay off this word of the day for now?

If you don't agree, then fine, but stop trying to paint me out as some kind of nutjob..

I never used the word conspiracy, you did..

Fairness in moderation folks. Whether it was because it was bad pub or because people were namecalling, etc in there.. I still think we should be allowed to talk about it..

What agenda? The only agenda one could say I have is that I believe the Texans should take Bush #1 or trade the pick if we can get good value (I like the Jets trade scenarios).

I have personalyy said 100 times that if I needed a QB and had the choice between the three I'd take Young (even though I'm pretty sure Leinart is a sure thing and Young is a risk). I'm confident with Carr at QB and I think he can really be good if we give the guy some help.

I also believe in Young went to FSU we wouldn't even be haing this debate. Many people disagree with me and that's fine but most people here (Texas in general and on this board love VY because he brought our state a national championship). If you argue otherwise you're lying to yourself.

I give him all the credit in the world for what he accomplished this season. I still have a lot of questions about him as an NFL player. I don't have those questions about Bush.

I want to either trade with the Jets and get an Abraham, Vilma, their #1 type deal (of course we would toss in a pick too with our #1) or keep the pick and take Bush. Brick is a great pick but he's still not a game changer. Look at what they said about Gallery. Mike Williams just got cut.

As for the Wonderlich, everyone is entitled to their opinion. I personally think he scored a 6 the first time he took it. I don't think they scored Young's test wrong.
