Most people were ambivalent about Stern over the past few seasons, wondering why some people complained so loudly. He may not be the direct cause for losing Chuck, but he's only getting worse. I hope we can all agree that the league deserves no benefit of the doubt after this whole episode.
Chuck and Battier were the heart an soul of the team. Now both of them are gone. I hope we don't become a heartless and soulless team.
Lowry, ... Patterson, ... Lee, ... sigh, there are so few to like on this team Best of luck to my favorite player, Chuck Hayes!
I really like Hayes and what he adds to the rockets. However, I don't think he will do as well in Sac. He is a team player, system player. Sac plays 2 on 5 and everyone else watches.
Stern had nothing to do with Hayes going to Sactown. He was leaving regardless, Morey wasn't going to pay him that much.
Enjoy the SAC w/ Big Cuz and Reke Evans... just wish the Modesto Monster had landed w/ a contender. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/biWPJqauAag" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Damn I get to connected to this team Hayes do ya thing in SAC. Hope u and your new team have a great year.
Hard to say. I don't know the details of the new CBA, but Hayes' cap hold(how much he counts against the cap until he signs somewhere) should be fairly low. In which case, the Rockets could trade for Gasol, sign Nene to whatever's left of the cap, and then resign Chuck once they're over the cap. Chuck's salary is only a problem if it takes a chunk out of the cap. But there's no difference between being $0 over the cap and $4 mil over the cap.
