Paul on the clippers would really jump them up the rankings. Griffin and Jordan would totally flourish with him.
If it's either Gordon or the Minny pick, I'm nost sure it's that great a deal in comparison to the original Lakers/Rockets trade where the Hornets get Martin, Scola, Odom, Dragic and 2012 NYK Pick (and possibley Lee or Patterson + another pick). One thing I'd say about the Clips package is that it's less salary going forward and will allow NOR to go into full tank mode.
The package is apparently Gordon, Aminu, Kaman, and the minny pick for Paul. Stern wants them to include Bledsoe and another future pick. The original package is great for the hornets, adding bledsoe requires you to still make the move, but more picks is a little too much.
Wow Stern is really playing God now, time for him to die, I can see Leslie Alexander killing him. Something about that face of his and that smile...
As far as I'm concerned, Kaman/Aminu/Bledoe all suck balls. Trade them all with Gordon, and all the picks you have as well, to get Chris Paul/Blake Griffin/Deandre Jordan together. You can fill in the rest...
"As first reported by the Los Angeles Times, Demps and the Hornets have apparently agreed to send Paul to the Los Angeles Clippers for Chris Kaman, Eric Bledsoe, Al-Farouq Aminu, and ownership of the Minnesota Timberwolves' first pick in the 2012 draft. That pick is unprotected, and clearly the top motive for New Orleans in making this deal." http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/blog/ba...reed-to-send-Chris-Paul-to-th?urn=nba-wp11647 nice deal for the clips Top 3 seed in the west IMO if the deal goes through

If I were the Hornets, I'd be estatic to get Bledsoe and Gordon in the same deal. I wouldn't much care what else I got. If I am the clippers, I think this deal is bad. Bledsoe is a rising star in my opinion. You are banking on Chris Paul and Blake Griffin and what else? Deandre Jordan? That guy isn't going to help much.
LOL, CP3 is gonna be stuck in New Orleans this season. Gonna be interesting the reaction he gets from the Hornets crowd.

David Stern asking for the moon. I'd consider doing a 'hefty' deal with NO if Paul said he would opt in. daldridgetnt
Broussard is terrible he's always flip flopping over what he tweets or says: @Chris_Broussard Chris Broussard Nothing definitive on CP trade yet...still possible...league driving hard bargain
Adrian Woj, who's arguably the most credible NBA insider tweeted this earlier as well. WojYahooNBA Adrian Wojnarowski Clippers are refusing New Orleans-NBA steep asking price for Chris Paul, league sources tell Y! Sports. "Deal could be dying," source says.
Seems like people forget the Clips picked up Caron Butler as well. Paul ??? Butler Griffin Jordan IDK what their cap situation is but maybe they can offer full MLE to Arron Afflalo to be their starting 2 guard. Thats a pretty legit Starting 5 right there. The only thing they lack is really dead-eye perimeter shooting besides afflalo. The hardest thing to do in this league is acquire a top 10 talent. Once you do that, the other pieces should fall into place. I think the Clips should give up Bledsoe. Opportunities like this don't come along often. They still have Mo Williams to back up Paul so he won't have to play ~40 mins on his knees. Clips HAVE to go for it. IMO
sportsguy33 Bill Simmons Just got word the Clips/CP3 trade is definitely off. Can only be revived if NBA bends on its super-steep asking price. This is I-N-S-A-N-E. LarryCoon Larry Coon With Clips deal apparently falling apart, Stern's next demand for CP3 will be Utah. Not the team.....the state.
