Sorry, but I think you're making quite possibly the most pointless argument in the world right now. So you win, Stern is all powerful and should be your #1 pick in fantasy basketball GMs.

    Back to the thread.....
I'd like to take Okafor but that cap hit is $12.5 mil this year, then 13.5 and 14.5 the following years. I'd rather we find a soon to be expiring big.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

I think you're undervaluing Shaq, who literally changed the game's rules, is the third greatest center ever behind Russell and Kareem ( yes, I know, blasphemy on this forum, but Shaq> Dream in my books). Griffin is damn good. But I've seen people already proclaiming that the kid will surpass Duncan, and that to me is something I don't believe.

They are in a better position than us. May may have forgotten. Even without having a top swing man.
They have Billups, Williams, Bledsoe to trade up.

    all for two year rental.
Clippers finally found a way to destruct themselves, again.

In what reality are people desperate for the insane contracts of Mo Williams and Chauncey Billups?

And of course they're in a better position than us. Even before this trade they were.

#1 Paul is not the only player in the NBA to average 18/9 for his career. Magic Johnson averaged 20/12.

#2 Paul is not as good as Kobe, and more to the point, Griffin is not even in the same universe as Shaq.

#3 Donald Sterling owns the Clippers, he is cheap, he has a history, the Clippers will never be that attractive to other players as long as he controls the team.

Last.... Paul has bad knees, in fact his game is already beginning to decline in some areas.

Clippers got lucky to get Paul, but the odds are they screw it up.

I know it's not the NBA, but during the FIBA championships in 2010, Billups excelled playing next to Derrick Rose.

    1) My bad, I think I missed a few other stats like steals. ESPN said he was the only player in the history of the league for a particular stat line.

    No he is not.

#1 He is a power forward, historically very few once in a generation players are power forwards.

#2 He does not defend at all.

#3 I guess once in a generation players appear every 3-4 years, I mean KD, LeBron, Howard all are more accomplished, more talented and within a 5 year window of Blake... but whatever makes you happy.

My argument is pointless? My point is that Morey needs to be let go, we are in just as bad a position as we were when he took over. His time is up

In a reality where everyone can be had for the right packaged deal.

And all it took was 33 losing seasons out of 35, including 15 last place finishes, 25 top 10 picks, 13 top 4 picks, and 4 times they've won the lottery.

Somehow, I'm ok with where the Rockets are in comparison to the Clippers. But be my guest if you want to jump ship, and continue to bad-mouth an incredibly consistent organization that is committed to put out a good product.

That would be a very, very, very interesting trade.... Josh Smith is a rock head, but he is very talented and athletic. If the Clippers could get him to play within the system, along with Paul and Griffin they could upset some teams in the playoffs....

A huge gamble for the Clippers to make that deal, Smith has had some major issues ... not sure the have the right coach for that situation.
