Oh, um, you missed my point. I don't disagree with you or him. I just think it is funny to post a Bima tweet, when he, most likely is going post about it in much more depth later.

    Nevermind.

League insisted on holding out for young pieces in CP3 deal. Getting Gordon AND Wolves' unprotected 2012 first-rounder is a haul right there

    alanhahn Alan Hahn
What Stern and #NBA did here was set a standard in trading a superstar: Demand more, don't let him dictate and don't wait until last minute.

Can't see NOLA needing to pay two centers (Okafor and Kaman) $25 million combined. Think maybe they would want to trade one of them to us?

Stern was just in it to screw the Lakers. Nothing to do with Houston Rockets since we're irrelevant everywhere outside H-town.

I think Jamal Crawford needs to say forget Portland or Sacramento and sign with the Clippers ASAP!

    Paul/Crawford/Butler/Griffin/Jordan

    Championship squad right there.

Clippers finally beat up their older brother and take control of the house.

If you have to over-pay to pair up Blake Griffin with Chris Paul - you do it.

Eric Gordon and an unprotected first round pick is also better for a rebuilding team than what we offered.

Hahn is on the money with this one. This is how you trade a superstar player. Hopefully, the this and the Deron Williams trade will set the new standard.

Yeah, let's make sure the commissioner vetoes ALL the trades.

i can't believe it. is there even such a thing as karma these days?

Stern should step down as commissioner and become a GM. This guy just got more than fair value for a superstar.

Odom's contract is not really that large. $8.xM seems like a steal for a player of his caliber, I would think, if you look at what ridiculous contracts are given out to much lesser players. Also, not sure if these sources are correct, but isn't the next year of his contract a team option? Think about it this way: I would think that Odom should normally fetch something more valuable on the free market than a player of Aminu's caliber (I know they traded him for cap space only, but that had to do with him being disgruntled, etc.)

Yes, Kaman is taller, but Scola is the much more skilled player, with much better stats, too. Kaman also has a significant injury history, whereas Scola has been rock solid for many years. I know Kaman is an expiring contract, but seriously, shouldn't a team like the Hornets consider themselves lucky to have a player of Scola's caliber in the prime of his career locked up at a fair contract value for a few more years? Do you really think they will get someone better for less money?

The unprotected pick from Minny should obviously be much more valuable than the protected NY pick, I'll admit that.

But overall: Maybe I'm a homer, but other than them having more flexibility sooner, if you look at basketball reasons, I certainly don't see how it makes them a better team, neither in the short nor in the medium term. At least I don't see it as that much of slam dunk over the other deal as most here seem to see it.

Billups will probably be their starting SG. He might actually be BETTER OFF at SG than at PG at this point in his career. He's a great shooter and will be able to take SGs off the dribble easier than against opposing PGs.

Man, getting Billups for $2,000,032 might be the single best move of this offseason!

It's a good trade if Gordon commits.

Do you really think he's going to stay?

    I dont think so.
