Stern wants CP3 to stay in New Orleans the whole year and then walk away for nothing. He wants New Orleans to lose everything, suck hard, and then get contracted. Real conspiracy theory.

Sources: Clippers were asked to part w/top five trade assets for CP3: Gordon, Minnesota pick, Kaman's expiring contract, Aminu and Bledsoe

This is too funny. It's always basically one owner trying to make a deal with all 29 owners. Could not play the losing horn enough for this, and I keep enjoying each one.

It's funny when you aren't the one getting screwed.

I could only imagine what Hornets/Stern wanted from us.

Someone make a Stern trade negotiator app.

When you ask for CP3 he asks you for your 2 best players+ 2 young players+2 draft picks.

Any trade with any team will be a conflict of interest.

I'm going to assume that Stern, a lawyer, and all the legal experts working for the NBA have covered themselves from a potential lawsuit.

It seems like Stern may be asking for too much for Paul, for not letting him walk for pennies on the dollar since NO doesn't have much leverage. But there is nothing illegial about that. Dumb perhaps.

Prominent agent: NBA has rendered Hornets front office "inoperable" and has given up doing even minor signings with them now.

Can we just undo the lockout?

This is an even bigger mess than before.

The union and league were all so desperate and eager to start the season that they didn't even address one of the biggest issues that led to the lockout in the first place.

This is just plain incompetence at this point, absolutely embarrassing.

    They can't.

LOL, funny thing is they ratified it and not even an hour later the CP3 mess started

Had this happened even a day earlier, I don't think the players would have signed off on the new CBA.

Reports already stated that they wanted Lowry instead of Dragic and an additional first round pick, on TOP of Martin, Scola, NYK first rd pick.

Yeah, but were past that now.

We can relax and let some other poor team get screwed now.

    How though?

If he isn't a free agent, doesn't he have the legal right to honor his contract?

He's been in camp, right? Bet that's been fun for everyone.

I know it's just a business but he's been beyond adamant about getting the hell out of there.

Paul can bring Howard to a depleted Rockets team? And if Howard doesn't buy it and/or Paul easily leaves us for cold next year. What then?
