It was 4 runs when Sale had a WHIP of 1. Then Quintana dominated them. I don't wanna hear it.

No, the Astros suck against good left-handed pitching.

Hill is pretty decent. We should poke the tires on getting him in a trade.

1-5 in the lineup went 1-18 tonight....with the 1 hit being Springers opening triple

Gotta give Hill his props though

Not our night. Unfortunate because it looks like Rangers are going to lose again. Hope that score holds up.

Hill was very good but Fister's atrocious pitching in the 2nd inning didn't help at all. Why not throw MORE pitches down the middle of the plate?

Our bats were utter **** too. Send these boys back to batting practice and show them how to hit a curve ball.

I can't figure out why people think it's bad or unfortunate when the Astros and Rangers lose on the same night. It is actually good and fortunate any time teams in front of the Astros lose, regardless of what the Astros do.

Did you watch the second inning? First two hits were bleeders that found holes. Fister was far from 'atrocious' in the second inning.

And I am sure the Astros will take 2 runs and 8 innings from their starters every single start regardless of how 'atrocious' they are in any given situation in that game.

Not that hard actually. Unfortunate because it's a lost opportunity to gain another game on a team we've been chasing all year. Obviously I'm happy Rangers are losing, but I'd prefer to win on those nights as well. Hope the Twins continue to give them problems, and we take these next three.

Simple question....Isn't it always 'fortunate' when teams in the way of the Astros' playoff hopes lose?

Yes, but also unfortunate we didn't win at the same time. Not sure those things are mutually exclusive. I'm well aware we can't win every game and we can lose ground one week and make it all back and then some the next. We've been on pretty good roll and they've been fading towards the break. I'd like to be as close as possible and when we lose close games it just stings a bit more. But hey, it happens.

This post says it all. People forget that other teams have major league ballplayers too. Even the Astros won games in the years that we were losing 100+ games. It's going to happen where the worst teams in the league will shut good teams down every now and then. I hardly think it's an indictment on the Astros right now, especially when they've been white-hot lately.

I'm hoping Hill is pitching for us or for someone in the National League the next time we play Oakland. Beane does a good job pulling these diamonds in the rough out of the scrap pile. He'll get a decent haul for some team looking to rent Hill for 3 months. And Hill won't get tagged with a QO.
