no doubt it is a sweet matchup...but ratings wise, favre is a MUCH better draw for national ratings and interest.

I for one am happy the Aints made it.

This game had Favre choke written all over it, but wow did the Vikings shoot themselves in the foot repeatedly.

Hats off to Favre for a gutsy performance, We'll see how two dome teams fare in the elements.

People can blame Favre for throwing that BAD interception, but that whole sequence of plays was just a microcosm of all the self-inflicted wounds Minnesota gave themselves today. Minnesota in FG position, all they need to do is hand off a couples times then kick the FG. Instead? They pick up that 12 men in the huddle penalty that moves them out of FG range, Minnesota is forced to throw and Favre makes the poor throw that results in the INT.

Epic chokejob on part of the Vikings. They couldn't get out of their own way and as a result the inferior team is headed to the Super Bowl.

Maybe not but returning could spell even more fail. He had a great season and came up short.

What an incredible game...even though Favre threw that INT, he was a warrior all night long.

    Good Super Bowl coming up.

Farve should return. He can still play and he is more durable that 90% of the nfl.

    I just.....

Man, I just don't get how New Orleans continues to get every single break in their favor. Maybe it's Katrina karma or something? I have no idea but this definitely isn't their first win in this fashion.

Favre was a warrior out there. Without the brain farts by the entire Vikings team it was a gutty performance for the ages.

Now, who is the most successful player from the 2005 draft? Reggie Bush has now been to two NFC championship games and now a Superbowl and he plays a huge role on his team. Hmmmm Texans Fail.

remember the NFC championship a few years ago? Packers vs. Giants? Almost same thing. Int then retire...then he comes back...

    Which would have been worse?

ESPN talking about Favre vs. Manning nonstop for two weeks straight, debating who's the better QB?

    OR

ESPN talking about how Drew Brees "is the undisputed leader of the Saints" and how much he "means to the city of New Orleans" nonstop for two weeks?

I'm guessing the latter, so yay Saints.
