    Never tried it.

I love eating meat, but I also understand it's inherently selfish given all the info out there and the means most of us on here have.

I'm fine being called hypocritical for not standing on principle, but just look at how freegans originally came about.

Retailers and restaurants waste 40% of their food (literally left out for dumpster divers to loot), which means your "personal decision" don't mean jack **** in the grand scheme of things.

It's fairly disheartening, but if there were a clear market alternative I'm all up for putting money where my mouth is.

Provided it's 90% as tasty as bacon.

Other than the conspiracy theories about Gates being a child sex trafficker who drinks their blood, I am trying to figure out what Bill Gates did to piss in the cornflakes of Right Wingers. Can anyone enlighten me on what he did to piss them off other than vaccinating millions of people in 3rd world countries, and helping develop the modern computer, etc?

Man it is getting quite tiresome having the wealthy elites constantly trying to lecture the masses on what they should be doing. Gates, LeBron, just stfu...live and let live.

Nah. Synthetics are the future, both for scalability reasons and for moral reasons. If some omnipotent being switched out all the organically grown protein with synthesized protein tomorrow nobody would be able to tell the difference. Only a matter of time before that's basically the only "animal" protein humans consume, and I am personally looking forward to it. Just another example of technology solving problems and improving life on earth.

if you’re looking forward to eating seasoned old couch cushions, then by all means

article said just a quarter pound of lab shoe leather chicken breast would be $4, and they hope to bring that down to $2…so $2 for a quarter pound of chicken breast or $8 per pound is their hope…meanwhile boneless skinless chicken breast is currently going for $4.62 a pound at HEB

most Americans are not gonna be spending $8/lb for some chicken breast, especially coming from some lab

who knows what corners they’ll have to cut or what sh*t they’ll substitute out or add in to get their cultivated choking hazards down to a competitive price

in the video I posted on the 1st page, that dude said his cultivated chicken currently costs hundreds or thousands of dollars…his little cultivated eggs cost $7.99 for just 7 of them…imagine paying $7.99 for 7 fake eggs when u can buy a dozen or a dozen and half for around $2…HEB is selling a pack of 36 real eggs for $3.70, but the future is paying $7.99 for 7 fake ones?

those fake meats belong in an organic chemistry textbook, not in stores

What percentage of the beef that Americans consume would you say come from cows grazing grasslands in such pristine conditions?
