It's amazing to me how quickly a public figure can shift from being a darling to an ogre at the drop of a hat. Elon Musk was the pioneer and savior in the war against environmentally harmful emissions - FINALLY manufacturing a viable electric car after decades of other companies trying. Then he bought Twitter and exposed the liberal skewing and conservative censorship, and now he's an a-hole.

Mattress Mack was a hard working businessman, success story building a business from the ground up - a Houston legend that you will STILL find working at the I-45 location from open to close almost every day. But now since he endorsed Mealer and he's a degenerate gambler, capitalist a-hole that sells expensive furniture.

 

Being a Trumper and openly supporting todays Republican Party comes with a cost. It is unfortunate, but it is true, and the Republicans have nobody to blame but themselves because they are unwilling to right the ship. They have spent the better part of seven years discarding integrity, denigrating education, fighting imaginary culture wars, lying about the election, attacking our democracy, and on and on. A lot of people are tired of it, myself included, because it has damaged the country badly.

People like Mitt Romney still have my respect. I don’t necessarily agree with his political views, but he has not soiled himself but instead has tried to stand up for what’s right. Same with Liz Cheney. They can be republicans without paying the cost of public scorn that trumpers or people who tolerate trumpers bear.
