It was pretty boring. Buzbee is a slick operator, definitely in today's mold of Republicans whereas Bill King is more of a 90's Republican. Buzbee keeps talking about not being a career politician, as if that in and of itself is a bad thing, but he's a damn lawyer which is right up there on the liar spectrum with politicians. Turner's responses regarding the police and the police chief were cringe worthy. Howeva, I'd like to know how King and Buzbee plan to change all of that besides firing Acevedo which I'm definitely on board with. Dwight Boykins actually called Acevedo out for his desire to be on TV all the time which made me laugh. Acevedo never saw a camera he didn't like. Buzbee pointed out that no knock warrants aren't done in most major cities, questioned why we were still doing it. Valid question in my book. I don't think anyone really scored well on the crime issue. Buzbee talking about how people don't feel safe, three crimes in Memorial just last night!!!11!! He made a point about how petty crimes and break ins don't even get reported because police are disinterested. I've had my place burglarized in the past so I get that disinterest from the cops responding but I did have a policeman actually track down some of my stuff at a pawn shop and get it back to me so I don't know that he's much on point with his contention. King talked about FBI stats that show a 16% rise in crime 2015-2016 and then Turner just ass kissing police, talked about adding 200 police in the last four years.
